Nilove is the community app built for East Africans. Whether you are in Addis, Asmara, Mogadishu, Nairobi, Khartoum, or part of the diaspora in DC, London, Toronto, or beyond, Nilove brings together the events, places, roommates, and people who share your culture, language, and faith.
This is not a generic social app translated for the diaspora. It is a small, deliberate community built for Habesha, Eritrean, Somali, Sudanese, Kenyan, Tanzanian, and Ugandan users by people who grew up the same way.
WHAT YOU CAN DO ON NILOVE:
Events
Find cultural gatherings, faith events, weddings, holiday celebrations, and community meetups happening near you. From Meskel and Ethiopian Christmas to Eid prayers and Ramadan iftars, find what is happening in your city. Browse free. Premium members can also submit events for the whole community to see.
Places
Discover Habesha restaurants, halal markets, hair salons, churches, mosques, and East African owned businesses near you. Filter by city, food, and category.
Roommates
Find a roommate who shares your language, your food, and your lifestyle. Listings include rent, neighborhood, bedrooms, lease, lifestyle preferences (quiet, social, religious, vegetarian), and photos. Reach out directly to hosts. No agency fees.
Messages
Talk to people you connect with on the app in a clean, focused inbox. Real names, real photos, real conversations.
Dating and matches (optional)
If you would also like to meet someone for dating or a long-term relationship within the community, you can turn on Dating and matches from Account Settings. This adds a Connect tab with profiles you can browse, like, and chat with. It is completely optional. The community features above work whether or not you use this.

SAFETY:
Photos are reviewed by AI moderation on upload. Every report on a user, event, or listing is reviewed by the Nilove team within 24 hours. Bad actors are removed for good. Block anyone, anytime, without notice.
PRIVACY:
Your phone number is never shown to other users. Your full last name is never shown. We never sell your data.
NILOVE+ SUBSCRIPTION:
Nilove+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited roommate browsing, monthly event submissions, and advanced filters (heritage, faith, language).
Subscription options and current prices are shown inside the app at the time of purchase. Available plans include weekly, monthly, every 3 months, and annual.
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price as the selected plan. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time by going to your Account Settings in the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
