Review, recover and carry your recordings. Edit transcripts with up to 20 previous text versions. Restore recordings from Recently removed. Export selected recordings with available audio and import backups as separate copies. Recover unlisted audio after interrupted saves. Includes a new icon, improved large-text layouts, safer saves, recording interruption handling, transcription retry and timeout protection, daylight-saving corrections, and more accurate speech and PDF measurements. Recording backups exclude daily PDFs, Focus sessions, task completion, Loose Ends overrides and settings. Background wraps remain best effort under iOS scheduling.

Follow-through Focus Build a focus queue from actions extracted from your voice notes. Work on one step at a time, track active time and keep an outcome for every step. 1. Open Focus and select up to five open actions. Choose the planned minutes per step and create the queue. 2. Start the timer, work on the current step, and pause when needed. Write an outcome or next move before finishing each step. 3. Review the completed session and share its report. Reopen sessions later; source memos and task completion states stay separate. Extracted tasks need your review. Queues preserve a snapshot of the selected wording and source memo identifier. Finishing a focus step does not mark its source commitment done. Leaving the screen pauses and saves; a forced quit can lose time since the last pause. Up to five steps per session, 1–120 planned minutes per step and 100 saved sessions.

Version 2.2 adds Loose Ends — commitment threading across days. Yap!! links the decisions, commitments, risks, and questions you speak across different days into single threads. The Loose Ends tab shows follow-through, your oldest open thread, and contradictions — and every number taps through to the exact sentence on your own recording. Spoken deadlines become due dates. Everything is computed on-device from your transcripts.

Version 2.1 adds Decision Briefs for daily wraps. Yap!! now pulls decisions, risks, next moves, and follow-up questions from your transcripts, then includes them in the wrap result and exported PDF. This update also refreshes the App Store screenshots, website copy, metadata, and review notes.

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

Yap!! 2.0 — a pro upgrade for thinking out loud, still 100% offline. • On-device mood: every memo is scored for sentiment, with a mood emoji and a daily read. • Insights tab: your mood trend, top words, peak hour, and busiest day of the week. • Mood calendar heatmap: a whole month at a glance. • Talking-habits analytics: words per minute, filler words, and vocabulary richness. • "On this day" memories and a topic cloud from what you've said. • Action Inbox: the to-dos pulled from your memos become a real, checkable list. • A daily reflection prompt deck for the days you're not sure where to start. Your audio is transcribed entirely on your phone — nothing is ever uploaded.

Yap!! 1.2 - What's New Search your yaps. A new Search tab lets you find any voice memo by keyword - title, transcript, or focus tag. Results are ranked by relevance and show a highlighted excerpt from the matching transcript. Everything happens on-device. Capture streaks. Yap!! now tracks your daily capture habit. A streak banner on the Today tab shows your current streak, longest streak, and total days captured. A full stats card in Settings shows total yaps, total minutes, and average minutes per day. Export transcripts. Export all your transcripts (or a single day's) as a plain-text file (.txt, markdown-compatible) or a CSV spreadsheet. Plain text pastes cleanly into Obsidian, Notion, or any editor. CSV opens in Numbers or Excel. Exported from the Library (per day) or Settings (all time). All files stay on your device.
