TWO MODES OF USE
• Local Mode: Use the app completely standalone without creating an account. Your recipes, categories, and photos remain exclusively on your device.
• Nextcloud Mode: Securely connect to your Nextcloud server running the Cookbook app. Seamlessly view, edit, create, and import recipes from your iPhone or iPad.
KEY FEATURES
• Browse & Search: Browse recipes by category and instantly find what you need with quick search.
• Create & Edit: Personalize your recipe cards, adjust cooking steps, and add your own photos.
• Smart Web Import: Copy-paste any cooking website URL to instantly import ingredients and preparation steps (compatible with Marmiton, CuisineAZ, 750g, Chefkoch, BBC Good Food, Allrecipes, GialloZafferano, and many more).
• Interactive Kitchen Tools:
- Scale Servings: Dynamically adjust the number of servings and ingredient quantities will recalculate automatically.
- Built-in Timers: Start multiple timers for your prep and cooking steps, with local notifications that ring even when your screen is locked.
- Keep Screen On: Enable the anti-lock option to keep the display active while cooking, preventing you from having to touch your device with messy hands.
• Print & Share: Print recipes directly to your network printer or export them into beautifully styled PDF files.
• Full Offline Mode: Your recipes remain fully accessible in the kitchen even without internet. Offline edits are queued and automatically synced once connection is restored.
• Local Backup: Export and restore your entire cookbook in one click via a universal JSON backup file.
PRIVACY & SECURITY
• Zero Data Collection: AvoCook does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Your information stays where it belongs: with you.
• Strong Encryption: Your Nextcloud login credentials are encrypted and securely stored in your device's hardware-backed Keychain (SecureStore).
