Neton is a privacy check-up for your phone. It looks at how the rest of the internet sees you — your IP address, your VPN, whether your current connection is filtering ad and tracker servers, and the Wi-Fi you're connected to — and tells you, in plain language, what's exposed and what isn't.

THE VPN CHECK MOST APPS SKIP
If you use a VPN, you probably assume websites and apps can't tell you're on one. They often can. Even paid, well-known VPNs leave fingerprints that the services on the other side recognise — and you'd never know.
NetOn quietly checks whether your current connection looks like a VPN to the public internet. If your VPN is invisible, you'll see that. If it's being detected as a VPN by the sites you visit, you'll see that too — so you can decide whether to switch protocol, change provider, or accept the trade-off.
If you're not using a VPN, NetOn shows you exactly what's visible right now: your real IP, your approximate location, and the network operator behind you. No fear-mongering — just the picture.
DNS: WHO HEARS YOUR PHONE TALKING
Every time you tap a link or open an app, your phone whispers a question to a DNS server: "where do I find this?" If those questions travel unencrypted, your café Wi-Fi, your hotel network, or your mobile carrier can read along — and many do, for advertising and analytics.
NetOn checks how those lookups are travelling on your current connection: whether they're encrypted, who appears to be answering them, and whether your network could be listening in.
ADS, TRACKERS, AND DEVICE TELEMETRY
Some networks block advertising and tracking servers before traffic ever leaves your phone. Premium VPNs often include this. Privacy-focused DNS services like NextDNS or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 for Families do too. A router with a content filter — or a self-hosted Pi-hole — does it at the network level.
NetOn checks whether your current connection is actually doing any of this. It tries to reach a curated list of known third-party trackers, ad networks, and device-telemetry endpoints from your phone, and reports which ones the network blocks and which it lets through.
If you're on a premium VPN that filters ads, you'll see those servers come back blocked — proof the VPN is doing what you paid for. If you're on plain café Wi-Fi, you'll see most servers reachable, telling you nothing on this network is filtering for you. The result is a clear, honest picture of how much tracker protection your current setup actually provides.
WI-FI SAFETY
Not all networks are equal. NetOn observes signals about the Wi-Fi you're on — encryption, sign-in pages, network reputation — so you know what you're handing your traffic to before you send sensitive things over it.
INSIGHTS OVER TIME
Every scan feeds your Insights tab. Over a few weeks, patterns emerge: which networks expose you most, when your VPN is being detected, how your privacy looks at home versus on the road. Single scans can't show you that.
