This Weather Ducks is a funny weather app: accurate forecasts from Apple WeatherKit, read out by a duck with opinions. The numbers are real. The commentary is sarcastic, and it changes when the weather does.
THE FORECAST
• Current conditions, hourly, and 10-day forecasts from Apple WeatherKit, the same source as Apple's Weather app
• Minute-by-minute rain for the next hour, whenever some is on the way
• Animated radar map (U.S.)
• Wind, humidity, UV index, visibility, pressure, sunrise, sunset, and moon phase
• Severe weather alerts from the U.S. National Weather Service, with the full alert in the app and an optional notification when one is issued for your area
• Tap any day for its forecast and its own roast
THE HECKLES
A new line every time the weather actually changes, picked for the sky, the temperature, the wind, and the time of day. More than 2,800 lines across eight voices.
Default Unhinged is free. Seven more voices come as packs: Rain Hater, Drama Queen, Office Burnout, Passive Aggressive, Desert Goblin, Soft Chaos, and Motivationally Unhelpful. Buy the ones you like, or get all of them with Premium. Now and then a guest voice cuts in on your weather, so you can hear a pack before you pick one.
WIDGETS
Small, medium, and large Home Screen widgets, plus Lock Screen widgets. The widgets have their own heckles, separate from the app's. Tell the duck your favorite weather and it will point out, regularly, that you're not getting it. Ignore the app for a day and the widget takes it personally.
DAILY HECKLE
Pick a time and get one heckle a day as a notification. Or don't. The duck will survive.
HECKLE STREAK
A running count of the days you've shown up to be heckled. Miss a day and nothing resets. No warnings, no guilt.
SHARE
Tap Share on any line to get an image sized for Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat stories, or a square one for your feed.
PREMIUM
Premium unlocks every personality pack, including new ones as they're added, and lets you save up to 10 locations. Monthly or yearly, auto-renewing, cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings.
