Total Lightning now loops with your radar. • Synced lightning loop: play the loop on Local Radar and every flash moves in step with the radar, frame by frame. Hours of history, scoped to your radar site so it stays fast and smooth. • Make it yours: new Size and Shape controls (bolt, plus, or dot) for the strike icons, a recency key for older flashes, and a Loop toggle. • The live strike counter now tracks the exact frame you're viewing. • Tropical Weather Outlook, sharper: development areas show a marker and the National Hurricane Center's real development-motion arrow, and you can send any disturbance straight to the satellite view. • Faster, more reliable radar loading when you return to the app, smoother loop scrubbing, plus polish and fixes.

Hurricane season is here. RadarCast now tracks the tropics. • Hurricane & tropical storm tracking: the official NHC forecast cone, track, and category points. Tap any storm for winds, gusts, and timing. • Tropical Weather Outlook: see where the NHC is watching for development, with 2-day and 7-day formation odds. • Pro tropical layers: forecast wind radii, time of arrival, wind history, wind probability, and model guidance. • New "Tracking the Tropics" help section: learn to read the cone (and what it doesn't mean). • iPad: bigger, cleaner callouts, controls, and text throughout. • Radar-coverage and reliability updates, plus lots of polish and fixes.

Smoother loops and a satellite fix. • Cleaner animation on satellite, future radar, and other looping products — especially while frames are still loading. • Fixed an issue where the satellite loop length didn't always update instantly on initial load. Thanks for flying with RadarCast.

This update is all about a smoother start. • On a fresh install, RadarCast now opens near you when you allow location, automatically choosing your nearest radar site. • The location button now points you to Settings when Location Services are off, instead of doing nothing. • Added a quick "Rate RadarCast" option in Settings for anyone who wants to leave a review. • A few small startup and reliability fixes.

Severe weather Watches now come to you. RadarCast now sends notifications for Tornado Watches, Severe Thunderstorm Watches, and Flash Flood Watches, giving you an earlier heads-up before storms and flooding threats arrive. We also smoothed out setup, sharpened alert coverage, and fixed a few things: • A cleaner first-run setup for location, notifications, and Pro radar. • More accurate alert maps, including better coverage for coastal counties and barrier islands. • Open-ocean marine alerts are quieter on the map while coastal and tropical alerts stay visible. • Extreme Heat Warnings now show correctly. • Switching your Home location updates its alerts right away, and triple-digit temperatures stay on one line.
