A much bigger library. 300 classics — Dracula and Sherlock Holmes, Jane Austen and Dickens, Verne, Wells, Tolstoy. From simple fairy tales to Moby-Dick: something to read at every level, and somewhere to grow. Most books now carry the real binding of the edition the text was set from — the yellow cloth of the first Dracula, the peacock Pride and Prejudice. Books open straight away instead of waiting for every chapter. There's a full-screen reading mode. Shelves show the author. And less of what you were never meant to notice: a rare crash is gone, and reminders that stayed silent for some readers now work.

Bug fixes and performance improvements.

12levels is now more accessible. Literally. We improved VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text, contrast, and Reduce Motion. Vocabulary scrolls more smoothly, Learn sessions survive a trip to the background, and the missing book covers are back. We also fixed bugs and improved stability. You can still forget English words. But now the app is less likely to help you do it.

Сәлем, Қазақстан! Қош келдіңіздер! We’re thrilled to see so many active 12levels learners joining us from Kazakhstan. In this version, some cards received memorable illustrations, while the library gained a new article that’s essential for your learning: “1250 Phrases for Natural English.” Another premiere is experimental Tactile Pronunciation. We transformed IPA transcription into a consistent tactile alphabet: each English phoneme has a stable vibration pattern built around real phonetic features, including voicing, duration, stress, and manner of articulation. The idea is grounded in multisensory learning: your brain receives information through sight, sound, and touch, creating an additional association for distinguishing and remembering sounds. Now you can not only see and hear a word’s transcription—you can feel it. This is an experimental approach, but to the best of our knowledge, no mainstream language-learning app has turned transcription into a consistent tactile alphabet before. We’re already preparing a patent application. We also fixed bugs and improved the app’s stability. Illustrations can be disabled from the Vocabulary display menu. Tactile Pronunciation is off by default. You can still forget English words. But now they can stay with you through touch, too.

We rebuilt your first run: 12levels now finds your starting point more precisely and makes your personal plan easier to understand. We fixed a few bugs too. You can still forget English words. You’ll just have to try harder.
