more I purchased this app for my nephew about a month ago and he loves it! It monitors so much of his progress and has helped him with his pitching skills. It monitors his sleeping pattern and assists with his recovery. Well worth the money. Never thought an app could be created with so many features.
Developer Response Appreciate this so much — glad he's getting after it. The piece we're proudest of is exactly what you described: tying his sleep and recovery to his actual throwing workload so PlayersLab can flag when he's ready to push vs. when to back off. Tell him to keep stacking good days, and we're at support@playerslab.io anytime.

Has all the pitching tools you could need
Developer Response Appreciate the love, Boneal11 — fires us up to hear it this early. PitchLab.ai is built to be the full lab for serious arms: log every bullpen, watch your velo trend stack up against workload and readiness, and let Coach Cy break down your TrackMan and Rapsodo reports in plain English. We're shipping new tools constantly — keep grinding, and tell us what you want to see next. 💪

- Catch Play and Cage Work sessions can now be backdated when logging.

1.0.59 Sep 16
Performance & stability improvements across the app:

- Faster app launch
- Smoother scrolling in Arm Care, MLB Comp, Catch Play, Cage Play, Community Grips, Bullpen Film, the Forum, and Recovery
Coach film:

Small fixes and polish throughout.
1.0.58 Sep 13
Stability and performance improvements.
1.0.57 Sep 11
Biomechanics results screen upgrade: your Coach Cy breakdown is now collapsible, every measurement shows its target range right next to the value, and a new "VS YOUR LAST SESSION" card compares this review to your previous one metric by metric. You can now re-pin the frame a measurement was taken from and re-measure it on the spot. Frame-by-frame stepping added to the real-time skeleton viewer. Coach tools: roster activity notifications now cover all athlete uploads, not just film; several stability fixes to coach screen buttons; camera recording improvements for iPad. Also includes performance improvements and bug fixes.

What's New
WHOOP Integration — Now Available to Everyone
WHOOP connectivity is now open to all PlayersLab users. Connect your WHOOP in Settings to sync recovery, HRV, and strain data directly into your training log.
Biomechanics Lab Improvements
• Fixed an issue where manually re-tracing a frame and re-running the analysis didn't update the displayed measurements — readings now refresh correctly every time.
• The Previous Reviews list is now collapsible. Tap the header to expand or hide your analysis history, keeping the view focused on your latest results.
Coach Roster Activity Fix
Fixed an issue where players showed as inactive on the coach roster even when they had recently logged check-ins, catch play, recovery, or other activity. The "last active" indicator now reflects all activity types, not just formal bullpen sessions.
1.0.55 Sep 8
WHOOP integration is now available to all users — connect your device from Settings to sync your recovery and strain data with your coach.
This update also adds a full name field to player onboarding, a new edit option on your Profile card so you can update your name anytime, and coach assignment instructions on the Home screen to help new players get connected quickly.
We also improved pitching event detection accuracy, including more precise foot strike and max external rotation timing. Bug fixes and stability improvements throughout.
1.0.54 Sep 4
When a coach assigns you work, the instructions now show right on your Home card — no more bare task titles. Coaches can also build or edit a workout routine straight into your library, and see at a glance when each player was last active. The Movement Screen no longer blocks you on a slightly-off camera angle — it flags when angle or lighting may affect accuracy but lets you keep going. Plus stability fixes.
1.0.53 Aug 27
Coaches: every roster row now shows when each player was last active, and you can build or edit a workout routine straight into a player's library — sets, reps, and target weights included. The Movement Screen no longer blocks you on a slightly-off camera angle; it still flags when angle or lighting may affect accuracy, but lets you keep going. Plus stability fixes across the coach dashboard.
1.0.52 Aug 26
Coach mode gets a big visibility upgrade. Coaches now see each player's full workout routines and arm-care protocols with exercise-level detail (sets, reps, target weight), a new Planned section for upcoming self-scheduled workouts, and a last-active timestamp on every player so you can tell at a glance who's engaged. Player folders group repeated entries more cleanly and load faster. Plus stability fixes across the coach dashboard.
1.0.51 Aug 25
Coaches: your player folders just got a major upgrade. See each athlete's saved workout routines and arm-care protocols with full exercise detail (sets, reps, target weight). A new Planned section shows upcoming self-scheduled lifts so you know what's coming before it happens. Every player now shows a last-active timestamp so you can see who's engaged at a glance. Plus: workout detail collapse for cleaner readability and a compile fix for the training library sync.
1.0.50 Aug 23
FOR COACHES
• New "Mark reviewed" button on any clip a player sends for review — clear your queue without having to annotate first.
• A player's film now groups into one card per bullpen or cage session instead of a long list of one-pitch clips.
• Nutrition groups by day with daily calorie & macro totals, and a fix so logged meals no longer repeat.
FOR PLAYERS
• Import a whole bullpen or cage session at once — pick several videos and they stay together as one session.
Plus under-the-hood stability and sync improvements.
1.0.49 Aug 20
FOR COACHES
• Brand & White-Label publish fixed — setting your organization's name, colors, and logo now reliably pushes to every team you coach (previously co-coaches could see "Saved to 0 of N teams").
• Clearer message with the exact reason if a brand publish ever fails.
FOR PLAYERS
• Your team's brand (name, accent color, logo) shows up the moment your coach publishes it.
Plus under-the-hood stability and sync improvements.
1.0.48 Aug 15
This update makes coaching feedback and assignments clearer for everyone.
FOR COACHES
• See the full catch-play log your athletes record — arm feel before and after, intent, energy, mechanics, and their notes — not just a throw count. (In a player's Folder and the team day feed.)
FOR PLAYERS
• Tap any assignment to read the full description.
• Completed assignments now stay in a new "Completed" section on Home — reopen one anytime, or Undo if you marked it done by mistake.
Plus stability and performance improvements.
1.0.47 Aug 11
This update fixes a few coaching essentials and makes player planning visible to the team.
FOR COACHES
• Fixed: full-screen playback of the annotated video you send back to a player — it now plays, not just inline.
• Fixed: sending a file or clip to a player works reliably again (an upload-permission issue could silently block it).
• Fixed: your telestration comments and voice notes always confirm before the sheet closes — no more false "Sent."
FOR PLAYERS
• Plan a session (lift, bullpen, and more) and it now shows on your coach's calendar too, so they can see what you're doing.
Plus general stability and performance improvements.
1.0.45 Aug 6
Smoother, more personal PlayersLab.
NEW — MORE WAYS TO CONNECT
• Expanded wearable support in Recovery — connect your device and your sleep, recovery, and strain feed your readiness automatically.
RELIABILITY & POLISH
• Faster, more reliable sign-in and data sync across the app.
• A round of behind-the-scenes fixes and performance improvements.
Pain is always a stop sign — if anything hurts, rest and see a qualified professional.
1.0.44 Aug 5
A smarter, smoother PlayersLab — easier to learn, easier to coach.
NEW — GUIDED TOUR, REBUILT
• A hands-on walkthrough that actually drives the app: it scrolls to each feature, highlights it, and lets you try it at your own pace — with Back, Skip, and resume-where-you-left-off.
• Coaches get a setup checklist (add athletes, brand it, assign work, post a lineup, connect data) they can finish in any order.
COACHES
• Assign a program to multiple days at once — tap the days and it sticks on every one.
• Co-coaches can now schedule, assign, and post lineups (full staff access).
• Cleaner player folder: latest KPIs at a glance (no repeats), bodyweight folded in, schedule + assigned work in one place.
RELIABILITY
• Clearer error messages that say what's actually wrong — sign-in, permission, or billing — instead of 'check your connection.'
• Fixes for film sync, empty screens reading as missing features, and a crop of behind-the-scenes bugs.
Pain is always a stop sign — if anything hurts, rest and see a qualified professional.
1.0.43 Aug 3
A huge update for coaches and players.
FOR COACHES
• A rebuilt, simpler coaching experience: Team, Plan, Field, Cy, and Manage — everything in one obvious place.
• New Work Submitted view on the team calendar: see exactly what each player uploaded that day, player by player, and tap to open it.
• Catch play now shows in the player folder with a clean one-row-per-day summary.
• Faster, cleaner player folders — no more repeated readings.
FOR PLAYERS
• Your data syncs safely to the cloud and back — nothing lost on a new phone.
• More reliable sign-in and team joins.
UNDER THE HOOD
• Big security, privacy, and stability improvements across the app.
Pain is always a stop sign — if anything hurts, rest and see a qualified professional.
1.0.42 Aug 1
Sign in on a new phone and everything comes with you — your throwing and hitting history, film, mechanics reviews, and now your strike-zone and spray charts too. Every session backs up to your private cloud and restores on a new device, so you never lose your work.
COACHES ON ENTERPRISE: You can now choose exactly which features your players see. Turn off any tool — weightroom, nutrition, recovery, film, biomechanics and more — and it locks on your players' app with a "Disabled by coach" note.
NEW ON HOME: A Messages button always sits between Check-In and Schedule, with a red dot when your coach sends something new.
Plus fixes that make sending clips to your coach reliable, your scheduled workouts show on the Home calendar, and clearer messages when something needs your attention.
1.0.41 Jul 29
This one is about your data being where you expect it.
If you sign in on a new phone — or reinstall — PlayersLab now brings your account back with you.
• Your training history returns: sessions and velocity, daily check-ins and readiness, recovery, biomech reviews, KPIs, arm care, catch play, nutrition, workouts and bodyweight.
• Your film comes back too, with a progress indicator while it downloads instead of an empty screen.
• Your profile comes back, so the app no longer asks for your position and handedness as if you were brand new.
• Cage sessions now back up as well — swings, intent, contact quality and exit velo.
• Coaches: your saved custom exercises follow you to a new device.
FIXES
• Fixed a bug where signing in on a second device could overwrite your saved profile with a blank one.
• Coaches: the Team tab now points to where programs moved. They live on the Plan tab — nothing was ever deleted.
Restoring only ever adds what's missing. Anything already on your device is left exactly as it is.
1.0.40 Jul 28
The biggest update we've shipped — a rebuilt coaching experience, plus real fixes for athletes.
FOR ATHLETES
• Your training library now backs up to the cloud. Loadouts, scheduled workouts, custom exercises and arm-care routines come back on a new phone or after a reinstall.
• Film uploads are much smaller and faster. Clips are compressed before upload; the original stays untouched on your device and analysis still runs on the full-quality file.
• New Help & FAQ — 66 answers across 12 sections, searchable, in Profile.
• Workouts your coach assigns are now read-only, so the prescription can't be changed by accident. You can still log every set, rep and pound, and clear it when you're done.
• Apple Health workout export works properly now, instead of silently doing nothing.
FOR COACHES
• Five clear tabs: Team, Plan, Field, Cy and Manage. Everything you had is still there, just where you'd expect it.
• The athlete page is rebuilt around one action bar — Message, Assign, Film, Add data — with a readiness header that stays put as you scroll.
• One Assign flow (who, what, when) and one calendar, replacing the half-dozen doors that used to do the same job.
• One Film Studio with three modes: Watch, Mark up, Break down.
• Cy remembers your conversation between visits, and you can start a fresh chat any time.
• Rebuilt Team Report with a readiness scoreboard, and completion tracking that counts only work that's actually due.
• Save buttons moved to the top of builder screens, so you're not scrolling past a long list to save.
Thanks for the feedback that drove most of this. Keep it coming.
1.0.39 Jul 26
Coaches: a cleaner, faster team screen.
• Messaging moved front and center. Message your whole team at once, or tap any athlete to message them one-on-one — right from the team screen.
• The team screen is now built for coaches, not players. Assignments, roster, and messages each collapse, so a team opens as a clean index instead of a wall of text. Tap any section to expand it.
• Prescribed workouts now read in plain language. Assigned work shows the actual exercises, sets, and reps.
• One home for assigning work. Building and assigning multi-day throwing and lifting programs now lives in the Plan tab, next to the calendar.
• Fixed a layout bug that could make a player's profile render wider than the screen and cut off at the edges.
Thanks for the feedback — keep it coming.
1.0.38 Jul 25
Recovery is now built into the Routine Lab. Open “Routine & Recovery” in the Training tab and switch between your training routine and your recovery in one place.
Coaches: build throwing and lifting programs from a full exercise library, add your own custom exercises, and assign a program to athletes straight from any day on the calendar. You can also import TrackMan and Rapsodo reports for any athlete on your roster.
Plus a cleaner Training tab, a streamlined biomechanics capture flow, and a range of stability and polish fixes.
1.0.37 Jul 23
Coaches Mode just got a lot more powerful:
• NEW Team Calendar — plan your season on one schedule. Add practices, bullpens, lessons, lifts, and games for the whole team or specific players, and it lands on every athlete's calendar. Assign workouts, arm care, and notes right from a day, save player groups (like "Pitchers") to reuse, and see what's due at a glance.
• Coaches can now review each athlete's uploaded reports, arm care, nutrition, and workouts — and build multi-day throwing & lifting programs.
For players:
• A cleaner, simpler app — a streamlined Home and a lighter tab bar put your most-used tools one tap away.
• Your film now syncs across your devices — record on your phone, review on your iPad.
• See your assigned program day by day.
Plus performance and stability improvements, including a fix that keeps the app running cooler.
Also fixed: a sign-in issue that could keep some accounts — including Sign in with Apple — from connecting to the cloud, so Coaches Mode, teams, messaging, and film sync now connect reliably.
1.0.36 Jul 22

- Fixed pitching report imports from facility TrackMan systems (e.g. Ascent Athlete) that were failing to read pitch data or showing incorrect numbers.
- Velocity trend charts are now tappable, linking each point to its source session report.
