MovaTalk is an offline-first translator that works without sending your text to a server. Speak, scan, type, or chat — every word stays on your iPhone.
Every translation runs on your iPhone using a local language model. There's no account, no API key required, no usage limits, and no network call after the one-time model download.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• Text translation — type or paste anything in any of the supported languages and get a natural translation in seconds.
• Voice — tap a microphone, speak, and read or hear the translation. Optional auto-playback uses on-device speech synthesis.
• Conversation — two-language back-and-forth with a hands-free mode that listens for the end of each sentence and automatically passes the mic to the other side.
• Photo Translate — point the camera at a sign, label, menu, or document. Translated text overlays the photo where the original was, matching the source's tilt and background.
• Messages — like Conversation mode, but across two phones. When you're sitting opposite someone, each of you uses your own iPhone; MovaTalk pairs the devices nearby and bridges the languages in real time. No accounts, no servers — the phones talk to each other directly.
LANGUAGES
MovaTalk launches with English, Ukrainian, Polish, German, Spanish, and French — with more languages on the way.
PRIVACY
Everything happens on this device. Your translations are stored locally and never leave the iPhone. Photos opened in Photo Translate are processed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Speech recognition uses Apple's on-device engine. Nearby chat goes directly between phones via MultipeerConnectivity — no server in between.
The first translation download is about 2.5 GB; after that you can use MovaTalk in airplane mode for as long as you like.
