This is a must have tool if you’re a professional in any video design, editing, broadcast, film, digital signage, or live production role. Helps catch errors, incompatible encoding settings, etc. before trying to use the files or send to clients or others involved with handling content. I use it for everything from diagnosing content display irregularities in video walls & signage to verifying my files meet requirements before I send to broadcast crews or other creative teams. The developers should definitely look into the live production industry as an untapped user base. I’d be happy to offer insight.I now recommend my clients use this app as well before sending files to me. Can’t tell you how many times I get files with missing audio tracks or incorrect encodings, etc. that I end up having to convert or edit. Saves a lot of back and forth and most of the time they realize they sent the wrong file or can have their designer re-encode while they still have them on the line.Integrations are only setup for Adobe Premiere and Frame.io though so hopefully they add support for marker export for FCP, Davinci, and others soon. The PDF export isn’t very useful currently as it only shows warnings & errors and just a summary that the file passed whatever number of additional checks. I’d prefer a full breakdown report (or option for) with the tooltip explanations for each check since this would be more for sending to clients who may not understand the impact or necessity of a particular item.Feature requests: It’d be really handy if you could enable batch checks on specific metadata requirements like all files must match target resolution, frame rate, etc. to make sure there isn’t say, one file that you forgot to upscale or something. Please enable branding, of the PDF export. Also, a way to collect those files for sharing or sending to another app would be nice as I verify clips from multiple folder paths where similar or multiple variations of the files may exist. So I’d an appreciate a way to approve all files in the list and export to an external drive or add to a compressed archive for example.P.S. I would have been more than happy to pay for this app. *wink wink*
