Find sunlight, dodge shadows, plan your day around the weather.
Sunfinder is a live sun map that shows you exactly where the sun is right now, where its light will land in an hour, and how the day's weather is moving in. Built for anyone who'd rather sit in the sun than scroll for it.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• See live sun position on the map, plus building and terrain shadows that update in real time as the sun moves
• Scrub forward and backward through the day to see exactly when sunlight will hit a specific spot, or when it will leave
• Toggle clouds, wind, and rain layers to see how the weather will affect your sunny window
• Use the AR camera to look up and see the sun's actual position in the sky, including where it will travel over the next few hours
• Save your favorite spots, your local café terrace, a park bench, your balcony, and check at a glance which one is sunny right now
• Search any place in the world to plan trips around sun and weather
MADE FOR
• Outdoor lunch-finders who want a sunny terrace
• Runners and cyclists planning a route around shade or sun exposure
• Photographers chasing golden hour
• Anyone in a Nordic country who treats sunshine as a precious resource
HOW IT WORKS
Sunfinder uses your phone's GPS and astronomical calculations to compute the sun's exact azimuth and elevation for any time and place. The map renders real-time shadows from buildings and terrain, so you see not just where the sun is, but where its light actually reaches the ground. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo's open forecast API.
