HashMark Desk is a paid, local-first Mac utility for calculating, verifying, and handing off file checksums.
Add files or a folder, calculate common hashes, paste an expected checksum, and see whether the selected file matches. The 1.0.2 update adds a receipt audit view so download checks, release packages, transferred archives, and client file handoffs can include selected-file proof, expected-check state, next action, ready-file count, size, algorithm, and verification result together.
Use HashMark Desk to:
- Calculate SHA-256, SHA-512, SHA-1, and MD5 hashes
- Verify a pasted checksum against the selected file
- See ready files, total packet size, selected check, and packet readiness
- Copy a verification packet for release, support, QA, archive, or client handoff notes
- Copy a receipt audit with selected-file proof and next action
- Add individual files or scan a selected folder
- Copy the selected hash or a tab-separated hash table
- Reveal a selected file in Finder
- Choose uppercase or lowercase output
- Work entirely offline with user-selected files
HashMark Desk is intentionally focused and local. It only reads files or folders you choose through the system file picker. It does not scan your disk in the background, does not require an account, and does not upload files, filenames, paths, hashes, or usage activity.
HashMark Desk has no subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no cloud sync, and no developer-server upload. Hashing happens locally through Apple's frameworks and sandboxed user-selected file access.
