What is a "Signal" on Huddle and how does it work? Dropping a signal means pinning a temporary interest (e.g., "coffee buddies", "running partner", "co-founder search") on the map. This lets nearby users who share the same vibe discover you and connect instantly.
How do I meet people and connect based on common interests? Through "Intent Chips" and tags (such as book clubs, run clubs, language exchange, boardgames, or coworking), Huddle pairs you with people based on shared activities. You only connect with people who share your exact hobbies and goals.
How can I host, create, or join local events? Simply select a location on the map to host a coffee chat, study session, or casual meet. Nearby users can discover your signal and ask to join. Alternatively, you can browse active map signals to request to join events hosted by others.
How does Huddle help me build my social network? We believe that "the event ends, the network stays." Once you connect in person, you can scan QR codes or use our silent save feature to add them to your secure social network, making it easy to stay in touch for future events.
Is Huddle secure and spam-free? Yes. Huddle has a strict zero-spam policy. Chat unlocks only if both you and the other person meet in person and silently "save" each other's profiles. Your raw GPS coordinates are processed locally on your device and are never saved on our servers.
