Spark now uses the same fast streaming transcription as Scribe, so short captures arrive on screen the moment you finish speaking — especially noticeable on Chinese, English, and mixed-language notes. We also fixed a bug where saving a Scribe sometimes created two copies of the same note, and refined the capture menu to match the rest of the app's quiet, paper-like feel. Behind the scenes: a new safety layer lets us tune Sparks and respond to issues without making you wait for an update. The app still works fully offline at the recording stage; your notes stay on your device as plain Markdown files.

Introducing Scribe — Sparks' long-form sibling for the thoughts that need more than a sentence. Press and hold to begin a Scribe, then speak for as long as you like — minutes, not seconds. Text streams onto the screen as you talk, so you can see the thought taking shape. Tap "done" when you're finished, and Sparks gently removes the fillers, smooths the punctuation, and re-paragraphs your note. Perfect for journaling, brainstorming, or thinking out loud on a walk.
