Community sightings on the map — Live railfan sightings now appear as pins directly on the train map. Tap any pin to view details and comments. Toggle them on/off with the new Sightings filter chip. Sighting comments — Tap any community sighting to read the discussion and add your own comments in real time. Delete your sightings — You can now delete sightings you've reported. Consist Analyzer — New AI tool in Photo Tools. Photograph a train and get an instant breakdown of locomotive numbers, car types, and hazmat placards. Proximity alerts — Pro subscribers can now receive background notifications when they physically arrive near a saved railfan location. Decoder history — The symbol decoder now saves your recent lookups. Tap any entry to instantly re-decode it. Community sightings now support comments — tap any sighting card to open the full post, view the comment thread, and reply. You can also delete sightings you posted directly from the feed. A new Consist Analyzer has been added to Photo Tools. Photograph a train and the AI will identify locomotive road numbers, car types, and hazmat placards — going beyond the existing Loco Identifier to analyze the full train. The AI Symbol Decoder now keeps a history of your recent decodes. Results are saved automatically (up to 20, deduplicated) and displayed below the current result. Tap any entry to re-run it instantly. A Clear button lets you reset the list. Approach Notifications have been rebuilt with geofencing. When enabled, the app registers a one-mile proximity zone around each of your saved railfan locations using Apple's background location system. You'll receive a notification the moment you arrive at a spot — no constant GPS polling required. Alerts also now appear in the in-app Alerts tab alongside push notifications. Saved Locations received a full redesign to match the Android version. Each location now displays coordinates, subdivision, scanner frequency, photo tips, and creation date. A Navigate Here button opens Apple Maps with driving directions. Free accounts can save up to 3 locations; Pro unlocks unlimited. Bug fixes: Train type filters (Amtrak, Commuter, Freight) in Settings now correctly filter the live map. The community distance slider now works at all ranges up to 200 miles. The scanner frequency field now opens the decimal keyboard. Premium status is verified against your App Store purchase on every launch, so it restores automatically after a reinstall or on a new device. The version number shown in Settings → About is now always current.
