Cubist is a free Rubik's Cube solver and tutor that fits in your pocket.
Stuck on a scramble? Paint your cube's colors onto the 2D unfolded net (or
snap a photo with the camera) and Cubist gives you a step-by-step solution
in seconds. Watch the 3D cube rotate move by move, or step through it
yourself at your own pace.
WHAT'S INSIDE
• 3×3 solver — Kociemba two-phase, solutions in ≤22 moves
• 2×2 solver — full state, every scramble solved
• Live 3D cube viewer — rotate, zoom, watch each turn animate
• Camera scanning — point at each face, Cubist reads the colors
• Color painter — tap stickers on a 2D net if you'd rather enter manually
• Beginner tutorial — learn the layer-by-layer method for 3×3 (cross,
F2L, OLL, PLL) and Ortega for 2×2
• Practice mode — try a tutorial case yourself, the app validates when
you've solved it
• Two solver modes — "Fast" (shortest solution) and "Beginner" (grouped
into Cross → First layer → Middle → Last layer with phase labels)
