Asteroid Hazard is a space strategy game based on real orbital mechanics. Asteroids, comets, and interstellar objects are hurtling toward Earth. You have launch vehicles, interceptors equipped with optical guidance systems, and time — but not much of it.
What sets this game apart from the rest:
→ Real Keplerian orbits. Every trajectory follows Newton’s laws.
→ The real Solar System—from Mercury to Neptune.
→ Optical guidance locks onto the target and corrects the interceptor’s course—just like in real interplanetary space missions.
→ Three classes of threats: asteroids, comets, and interstellar objects—each with its own orbital patterns and interception difficulty.
→ Upgrade system: interceptor launch frequency, intercept speed and range, optical tracking system improvements, number of simultaneously launched spacecraft, and threat detection system enhancements.
→ Cross-platform leaderboard: compete with friends and dangerous asteroid hunters around the world
This isn’t a toy solar system. It’s a simulation created by a scientist who has discovered 6 comets and over 500 asteroids, including those approaching Earth.
Can you defend the planet?
The key word for this update — smoothness.
A major, long-hidden recurring bug that caused the aim path to “jitter” has been detected and expelled.
Smooth scrolling of the global player leaderboard has been added, with a frame rate of up to 120 Hz (if your phone supports it). Now you can see where you stand compared to other hunters.
Smooth control — fixed slight jumps of game screen that occur when touching the screen with two fingers to move the camera or when canceling aiming.
Computational performance has been optimized for even smoother gameplay, and a few other tweaks have been made under the hood.
