SafeNest is an iOS parental control app that helps parents or legal guardians supervise the device usage of children under the age of 18 on iPhone and iPad.
SafeNest Features
SafeNest is available in Türkçe, English, Deutsch, Français, Español, Italiano, Português (Brasil), Nederlands, 日本語, 한국어, हिन्दी, 简体中文, and العربية.
Parent Password: 6–12 characters; only a salted hash is stored in the Keychain. The password is requested again when returning to the app from the background.
Apps: Category-based usage summaries and app lists with Screen Time permission (selected period: 7–90 days).
Websites: Web usage by category and site list (not Safari browsing history; based on Screen Time data, which may be delayed).
Restrictions: App selection using Apple’s picker; selected apps are listed by name; parents can apply temporary app blocks.
Apps Report
With Screen Time permission, three views are available:
Summary – Category and app usage distribution.
Trends – Daily usage, averages, app launches, notification counts, and increases/decreases over the selected period.
Hourly – Hour-by-hour usage distribution and peak usage times.
Reporting period: 7–90 days.
Websites Report
Web usage by category and site list (not Safari browsing history; based on Screen Time data, which may be delayed).
Restrictions – Quick Block
Select apps or categories using Apple’s picker and block them for a chosen duration.
Restrictions – Time Window
A recurring rule that blocks selected apps during specified hours (optionally on selected days of the week).
Restrictions – Daily Time Limit
Selected apps are blocked until the end of the day once their daily quota is reached; limits reset every day.
Web Filter
System-wide filtering (Safari and system web views):
Off
Limit adult content
Allow only approved websites
Includes allowed and exception domain lists.
Sleep Mode (Downtime)
Blocks all apps except those explicitly allowed during selected hours.
Quick Profiles
Sleep: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Homework: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (weekdays)
Always Allowed
Apps that are exempt from all restrictions (including Sleep Mode, Time Windows, Daily Limits, and Quick Block).

Time and date change lock
Prevent app installation and deletion
Lock password and account changes
In-app purchase controls and purchase password requirements
Game Center multiplayer and friend restrictions
Siri and App Store age ratings (4+, 9+, 12+, 17+)
Reward Time
Temporarily exempts selected apps from restrictions; when the reward period ends, restrictions are automatically restored.
Block Everything Now
Instantly blocks all apps except allowed ones for the selected duration (panic mode).
Pre-Block Warning
Device notifications approximately 5 minutes before a Time Window begins and before a Daily Time Limit is reached.
Password Required for Time/Reward Approval
The parent password is required when approving Reward Time (if a password has been set).
Connectivity
Provides a shortcut to Settings for turning off mobile data.
Optional temporary lock of the Settings screen (does not disable mobile data).
Wi-Fi cannot be turned off by third-party apps.
