Imjin War 2 is a historical strategy game played from the perspective of Joseon, covering the turbulent era from the Japanese invasions of Korea in 1592 to the Jeongyu War, the Manchu invasions, and the Naseon campaigns against Russian Cossack forces.
As the ruler of Joseon, you must rebuild broken fronts, appoint officials, recruit commanders, defend cities and naval bases, manage diplomacy, and decide when to rely on regular troops, righteous armies, Buddhist monk militias, artillery, and the navy. Each scenario presents a different strategic crisis, from Japan's invasion to the pressure of Later Jin and Qing, and the northern threat of Russia.
