# Mixerbar 2.2 - What's New ## Audio Check New Check tab with a readiness score for calls, recording, streaming, and presentations. Mixerbar now checks output, input, mute, volume, stereo balance, sample rate, meter status, clipping, loudness target, active schedules, saved profiles, and priority switching. ## Copyable Setup Report Copy a Markdown Audio Check report with your current setup, ready signals, and attention items. ## Better Popover Navigation The section picker now uses three clean rows so the new Check tab stays readable in the menu-bar popover.

Mixerbar 2.0 — switch your Mac's audio from anywhere. • Global hotkeys to switch output/input or jump straight to any saved profile, with an on-screen HUD that works over full-screen apps and a spoken VoiceOver announcement. • A rebuilt, accurate meter: true-peak vs RMS done right, plus LUFS loudness (ITU-R BS.1770 K-weighting). • Launch at login (off by default). • A richer menu-bar menu and a proper Settings window. • Accessibility-first: full VoiceOver, spoken device switches, Dynamic Type. 100% on-device and sandboxed — the mic is never opened on launch.

Mixerbar 1.1 — What's New Live Input Meter A real-time dBFS level meter now lives in the new Meter tab. Monitor left and right channels independently with colour-coded bars (green / yellow / red at −12 and −3 dBFS thresholds), a 2-second peak-hold indicator, and a clip warning that flashes when your signal hits −0.5 dBFS or above. Toggle it on and off with a single switch — the microphone permission is only used while the meter is active. Volume Schedule Set daily time-window rules that automatically adjust your output volume. Create a Quiet Hours rule (e.g. 10 PM → 7 AM at 20%) and Mixerbar silently lowers the volume when the window opens and restores it when it ends. Rules are day-of-week aware, support midnight-spanning windows, and include an optional mute-on-start option. No network required — all scheduling runs locally with a 30-second check interval. Device Priority Rank your favourite output devices so Mixerbar auto-switches to the best one that is connected. Drag to reorder the list; the moment a higher-priority device appears (e.g. AirPods connecting), Mixerbar selects it automatically. Individual entries can be disabled without removing them, and a global toggle pauses the auto-switching without losing your list.
