What's new in version 1.6 - Filter and effect per cut (Pro): In the Video Editor, tap a tile and set a filter or effect for that cut only. A badge on the tile shows where a custom style applies, and “Reset” removes it again. If you then choose a filter for the whole video in the export screen, the app asks whether the individual settings should be overwritten. - Labels on specific clips (Pro): In the Video Editor every label gets a range – whole mix, a single clip or from clip A to clip B. All labels sit in one list with their range, and a mini timeline in the label panel shows where each one is visible. Every tile shows its clip number. - Fade labels in softly: fade or slide (with direction) and an adjustable duration – for all labels, in the export screen and the editor. Preview and finished video show the animation the same way. - Adding text and emoji now opens a small card above the picture instead of a full screen; more compact label list. - Pixel effect: strength can be adjusted again. Motion blur now clearly reaches the edges of the frame. - iPhone: landscape is now only available in the Video Editor; preview and export stay in portrait. - Choose the framing: Under “Format” you can now pick “Fill format” or “Whole frame”. With “Whole frame” the clip stays fully visible and the edges are filled with a blurred version of the same image. - Natural colours for iPhone HDR videos: Clips the iPhone records in HDR often looked flat and washed out in the finished mix. The app now converts them with its own carefully tuned tone curve – white stays white, contrast and skin tones are right. - Preview and export now match: What you see in the preview is what ends up in the video – filters, effects, overlays and framing, on iPhone and iPad, in portrait and landscape. - Transitions with “Whole frame”: Doorway, Split, Circle and other transitions no longer show black bars when portrait clips play in landscape. Photos now get the chosen transition too. - Animated overlays now run in time with the video in the preview, exactly as in the export – even while the preview is paused. - Sharper preview on current iPhones. - More photos per mix: up to 120 instead of 20 (Standard and above). - Projects open more reliably: clips whose link in the photo library was lost are found again, and clips from iCloud folders are made available when the project opens. If something is still missing, the app names the affected clips. - “Update” in the editor now shows progress immediately instead of appearing unresponsive. - Less storage used: old temporary preview files are cleaned up at launch. - Various smaller fixes.

What's new in version 1.5 - Made for iPad: In landscape, the preview sits on the left with every setting beside it – transition, filter, effect, overlays, format and labels are all visible at once, no switching. In portrait, a wide centred column. On iPhone everything stays as it was. - Purchased tier reliably recognised: After launch, the app could temporarily – in rare cases permanently – run as the free version even though Standard or Pro had been bought: export limited to 720p, logo at the end. The app now remembers your purchased tier and only applies the free-tier limits once the purchase has actually been verified. If a purchase is still waiting for approval (Family Sharing, your bank), the app now says so instead of silently doing nothing. If this affected you: Settings → Restore Purchases. - Cleaner export area: Below the preview there is now one main button, “Save to Photos”, with Instagram, Facebook and Share as a compact row underneath. Save project and Save style have become small text links. - Noticeably sharper preview: It is now rendered at a resolution that matches your device. Until now the preview was internally only 568×320 pixels – soft on iPhone, blurry on iPad. - Preview more than twice as fast: On first processing, source clips are converted once into lightweight preview copies. Cutting and preview work with those; the export still uses the originals at full quality. From start to finished preview now takes about half the time. - No more black frame when changing transition, format or orientation: The preview keeps playing, the new version is built in the background – starting with the section around the current playhead – and then swapped in seamlessly. - Smoother editor: roughly double the playback frame rate, and the freeze after switching orientation is fixed. - Changing the export resolution no longer re-renders the preview. - Strict timeline: A previously hand-saved arrangement could silently override the mode – fixed. Transitions at the start of a clip used to silently become hard cuts (Bloom, for example, only kicked in from the middle) – they now get the lead-in they need. - Export starts immediately: Until now, up to 20 seconds could pass before progress appeared. The export also now guarantees every cut is included, even when a clip loads slowly from iCloud. - Editor timeline: tiles proportional to cut length, no more jitter on short cuts; more cuts fit on the iPhone screen. - iPhone without Pro stays in portrait: On iPhone, landscape only makes sense in the Video Editor, which is part of Pro. Nothing changes on iPad. - First install: The gallery closed again right after opening if photo access had not yet been granted – fixed. - Various smaller fixes.

New in Version 1.3 : - Nine new transitions (Pro): Side by Side Split, Top & Bottom Split, Circle Wipe, Inset Wipe, Zoom & Pan Blur, Bloom, Color Planes, Doorway and Lens Flare. Adjustable edge softness and strength. Trying them out and watching them in the preview is free, exporting needs Pro. - Automatic framing: when a clip's aspect ratio doesn't match your output format, the app picks the visible crop for you – and follows movement within a shot. With several people in frame, the one in front is chosen. - New "Strict Timeline" mode: clips play through in order, screen time shared out in proportion to each clip's length. - No more repeated moments in the same mix. - Transition length follows your cut speed – slower cuts get longer transitions, with no extra setting. - Rotate clips: videos reporting the wrong orientation ended up sideways in the mix. You can now rotate in 90° steps in the clip editor. - Photos the right way up – portrait images could end up rotated in the video when added. - 4K exports noticeably sharper – bitrate now scales with the resolution instead of a fixed ceiling. - Exports run twice as fast. - More natural colour: HDR footage is now converted correctly on export instead of looking flat. - More reliable exports with overlays, transitions take effect immediately after switching off Strict Timeline, and various smaller fixes.
