The new calculator computes both air VPD and leaf VPD (accounting for the 1-4 C leaf cooling offset that distinguishes a grow-room reading from what the plant actually experiences). Pick your grow stage - Propagation, Seedling, Vegetative, Early Flower, or Late Flower - and the tool shows a color-coded zone verdict (Too Low / Low / Ideal / High / Too High) with the correct kPa target range for that stage. A leaf-offset slider (0-5 C, default 2 C) lets you dial in canopy measurements from an infrared thermometer. Targets are sourced from Cornell eGRO bulletin E-816 and the Pulsegrow VPD guide; the Magnus-Tetens saturation vapor pressure formula matches the precision of Buck (1981) over the full horticultural temperature range. Heat Safety - WBGT & Flag Colors (Tools tab) Shade Wet-Bulb Globe Temperature built on the Stull (2011) wet-bulb approximation (0.65 C over 0-50 C / 5-99 % RH). The shade form is WBGT = 0.7 Tw + 0.3 Tdb - the most useful estimate when you don't have a globe thermometer. The tool displays: - U.S. Army flag color (White / Green / Yellow / Red / Black) with threshold and guideline text - ACGIH TLV 2023 work-rest schedule for Light, Moderate, and Heavy intensity (continuous -> 45/15 -> 30/30 -> 15/45 -> stop) - OSHA heat index risk level (Lower / Moderate / High / Very High / Extreme) with required action - Wet-bulb temperature, WBGT in both F and C, and heat index in the summary badge VPD in Room Views Air VPD now shows as a stat on the Now screen alongside Temperature, Humidity, Mold Risk, and Comfort. In Room Detail, every reading in the recent list displays dew point and VPD side by side. Growers tracking grow-room conditions over time can now see VPD history without leaving their room view. Under the Hood - 51 new XCTests covering VPDService and HeatSafetyService (saturation vapor pressure accuracy, all zone boundaries, flag color thresholds, ACGIH TLV monotonicity, OSHA risk levels at each tier). - Settings version correctly reads 1.1 (4).

Dewpoint Rooms 1.2 adds a Feels Like calculator (heat index, wind chill, humidex), a composite Indoor Air Quality score (0–100, A+–F) with a per-factor breakdown, and CSV export of your readings. Fully offline building-science math — no account, no tracking.
