Brew Tuner is for exactly that. Log every brew — grind setting, dose, yield, time, rating, tasting notes — once. The next time you revisit a bean, your sweet spot is one tap away.
WHAT YOU TRACK
- Beans — roaster, origin, varietal, process, roast level, notes
- Grinders — any dial type. Integer steps (Encore), fractional (Niche, 1Zpresso), stepless, even grinders with negative settings
- Brew methods — V60, Chemex, AeroPress, espresso, French press, Moka, Turkish, cold brew, or anything you invent
- Brews — full recipe with 1–10 rating, tasting notes, and flavor tags
THE DIAL-IN LOOP
- Tap "Adjust & re-brew" on any past brew. Brew Tuner duplicates it so you can change one variable — usually grind — and try again. No more guessing what "two clicks finer" looked like last week.
- The per-bean dial-in view groups your attempts by (grinder, brew method) and surfaces the best brew at the top. Open it for a returning bean and you're back where you left off.
- Filter the brew history by bean, grinder, or method to compare like with like.
WORKS YOUR WAY
- Independent unit prefs — grams or ounces for grounds, grams or ounces for yield, °C or °F for temperature. Mix freely.
- Common grinders and brew methods are pre-loaded so you can start logging in seconds.
- Fully offline — every screen works without a network connection.
- No accounts. No sign-up. No cloud requirement.
- Your data lives only on your device.
BACKUP, NOT SYNC
When you move to a new phone or want a snapshot, Settings → Backup & restore exports everything to a single JSON file you can save anywhere — iCloud Drive, Google Drive, email, AirDrop. Restore on the new device by picking the file back up.
No cloud sync. No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No tracking. Just a coffee log that's actually yours — and that you can take anywhere.

- Repeat last brew — a one-tap shortcut on the home screen
jumps straight into duplicating your most recent brew. Skip
the menus when you're chasing the same recipe.
- Bean cost tracking — record a bag's size and price, and
Brew Tuner shows you cost per gram, cost per cup, and the
cost of every brew you log. Fields are optional; skip them
if you don't care.
- Smarter dose-and-yield helper — enter a yield and the
brew screen suggests the matching dose. Enter a dose, get
the yield. Uses the ratio you've set per brew method.
