You read faster because you stop moving your eyes. 300 WPM is comfortable. 500 WPM is books-in-a-day. 700 WPM is for when you have a flight to catch. SpeedRead now connects to your own e-book library. • Library Servers: add any catalog that speaks OPDS — Calibre, Calibre-Web, Calibre-Web-NextGen, Standard Ebooks, and more. • Browse, search, and download books straight into your local shelf. • Multi-server support — keep a personal library and a public catalog side by side. • Username/password sign-in is stored securely in the iOS Keychain. Once a book is downloaded, everything works exactly like books you imported by file — RSVP, themes, highlights, and Apple Watch sync all carry over.
