BrewArc 2.0 — a new Tools tab that turns recipes into a guided, measurable dial-in, still 100% offline. • Extraction Chart: enter your refractometer reading and see the brew plotted on the SCA Brewing Control Chart, classified into a strength/extraction zone. • 4:6 Recipe Builder: a parametric Tetsu Kasuya generator with balance and strength sliders and a live pour timeline. • Water Recipe: exact Epsom-salt and baking-soda amounts to hit your GH/KH targets, with SCA presets. • Altitude Temp: boiling point and recipe-temperature correction for your elevation. • Scale Recipe by dose or servings with the ratio locked. • Rest Planner: peak-flavor dates from a roast date, method- and roast-aware. • Brew Stats: a journal analytics dashboard with charts and a PDF report. All coffee math is computed on-device. No account, no network — everything stays on your device.

Version 1.1 adds three substantive features grounded in SCA science. SCA Flavor Wheel Picker - Brew summary now replaces the freehand flavor-tag field with a full SCA/WCR 2016 Coffee Taster's Flavor Wheel picker. All 9 flavor families (Fruity, Floral, Sweet, Nutty/Cocoa, Spices, Roasted, Green/Vegetal, Sour/Fermented, Other) expand into color-coded category sections with every descriptor available as a chip. Tap to select; your picks serialize into the same flavor-tag field so all existing journal entries remain intact. Brew detail shows selected descriptors with their wheel family color coding. Bean Compare - The Beans tab now shows a "Compare N brews" button under any bean that has logged brews. Tapping it opens a dedicated analytics view: average rating across all brews of that bean, a taste-dimension radar for acidity, sweetness, body, balance, and finish, a best-brew card showing the exact dose/water/ratio/grind/temperature that produced the top-rated cup, and a full chronological brew history list. Useful for narrowing in on the parameters that work best with a specific coffee. Dial-In Compass - A new tab with a structured troubleshooting engine based on SCA extraction science and the Barista Hustle Coffee Compass (M. Perger, 2015). Tap your symptom from seven options - sour and thin, bitter and harsh, flat, weak, strong, grassy, or astringent - and get a numbered action plan telling you which brew variable to adjust first, which direction, and why. Each diagnosis includes extraction direction and strength direction badges, root-cause explanation, and a practical tip. A collapsible 7-step variable priority reference is included for deeper understanding.

Version 1.3 adds three substantive features and a full Dial-In Lab upgrade. Water Quality Lab — Enter your tap or filtered water test results (TDS, total hardness, alkalinity, pH) and get an immediate score against the SCA Water Quality Standard. The Lab identifies what's out of range, explains exactly what it does to your cup (flat, sour, suppressed acidity, scale risk), and shows five reference mineral recipes used by specialty roasters. No connection required — everything is computed on-device. Grinder Translator — The Grind tab now includes click and step ranges for seven popular grinders: Comandante C40, Timemore C3, Timemore C2, 1Zpresso JX-Pro, Fellow Ode Gen 2, Baratza Encore, and Eureka Mignon Notte. Tap any grinder to see the recommended setting for espresso, AeroPress, V60/Kalita, Chemex, French Press, and cold brew. Journal CSV Export — A share button in the Journal header exports your brew log (or the current filtered view) as a comma-separated file. Columns include date, method, bean, dose, water, ratio, temperature, grind, time, rating, notes, tags, and recipe name. Opens directly in Numbers, Excel, or any spreadsheet app. Dial-In Lab upgrade — The Pro tab interactive workspace now uses real coffee metrics: brew ratio on a 1:12–1:20 scale, water temperature in degrees Celsius, brew time in seconds, days since roast, and water TDS in ppm. The score and recommendations update live as you adjust sliders. Research Pack expanded — Five sourced deep-dives: extraction science and the SCA Gold Cup standard, brew ratio (Hoffmann, Rao, April Coffee), water chemistry, bean freshness and CO₂ degassing, and grind science. Checklists, scenarios, and reference cards are now grounded in real specialty coffee data.
