A fairer score for newer scooters A Segway-Ninebot the app can't name by model is now dated by its own serial number, not scored as the oldest model in the range. Its charge and pack temperature now read correctly too. A missed reading is not a fault If the battery voltage doesn't come through, the scooter no longer loses points for it and the report asks you to scan again. Cells that have drifted apart now always count. More scooters found KingSong's newer Bluetooth modules now show up in the scan, and so do current Segway-Ninebot models that advertise only their serial number. More readings isinwheel, iScooter, Circooter, Kugoo and Zamelux scooters now report their mileage. Some Swagtron-platform scooters that returned nothing usable now report battery and mileage.

A score that is harder to fool A battery the app could not read no longer counts as a bad battery. A report built on too few checks says so instead of calling the scooter good, and a worn pack now shows in the headline, not just the breakdown. More scooters isinwheel, iScooter, Circooter, Kugoo, Zamelux, EVERCROSS, HALO ROVER, KuKirin and Mega Motion can now be inspected. A CLOSER LOOK AT THE PACK Where a scooter reports its individual cells, ScooterCheck now checks them against each other. A pack whose cells have drifted apart can read as healthy on every other measure, and it is the one fault that only shows up this way. MORE SCOOTERS ANSWER MORE QUESTIONS Segway-Ninebot models whose battery module stays silent now report a charge level anyway, read from the controller instead. Xiaomi scooters are asked more slowly, which sounds like nothing and means several more of their readings arrive.
