The NorCal App brings the Northern California soccer community closer together while enhancing the fan and participant experience by enabling lineups, live scores, livestreaming, highlights and fan engagement features for soccer games at all levels.
With the NorCal App, families, friends and fans can support their favorite team and share their passion live in the community by commenting and uploading videos or images boosting the interest and engagement.
In the NorCal App, you follow the teams you are interested in and get full control of game schedules, lineups, match reporting, livestreams and notifications when the match starts or goal-by-goal if you want. NorCal gives you the same experience as a professional league no matter the level or league of your favorite team. The dedicated team and club pages automatically gather all content related to you, and the integrated communication function lets teams and clubs quickly reach all their followers with information. NorCal also enables new revenue streams for clubs and teams through integrated partner functions.
The app itself felt rushed for coaches to use for the fall season, here are some of my issues with the app.1). Game events have to be reported live- Too much information is needed for game events and final scores, why cant we just input the score normally, like how we did with GotSports. 2). ID Verification and Roster- There were issues with teams not having any pictures on their ID and no numbers on the roster, also when a player comes late the referee or coach has to pull out phones to verify id and roster status which takes more time than paper.3). Final Match Report- Referees usually utilized the game card itself to keep track of score and cards given, now he either has to keep track through his phone or other paper sources. Additionally there is no verification of score between the two teams, at least have an option for digital signatures….The app itself is a good idea but the execution was horrible. Every team I talked to on the first game weekend had some issue with the app.

Seems like this app is designed to draw parents to use the app like instagram except NorCal owns your data instead of Meta. Don’t really see the benefit in using this app for other roles within the soccer paradigm but if you a “type A” parent who loves to manage social media this app is for you. But this idea already exists via FB, Instagram, and Tiktok.Make sure you read the Terms and Services Agreement; its fascinating.

Seems well designed with most important information like schedule and games within easy access. But font sizes are tiny everywhere with no option to increase them - please add for us aging parents!
