Family Task Planner 4.0 is our biggest update yet. • A fresh new design: a friendly Today screen with your day's progress, a cleaner task editor, and colorful icons throughout • Generate Meal Plan: fill the week from your saved meals in one tap, then swap anything you don't fancy • Shop for This Week: turn the week's meals into a shopping list, grouped by store • Chores for kids: points for finished chores, parent approval, and points that turn into pocket money in your currency • Know when it's done: get notified when a family member finishes a task or the shopping • Task locations: add a place to a task and get directions in Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze • Six color themes, plus light and dark mode • Choose which screens sit in your tab bar • Home Screen widgets and more Siri Shortcuts • Faster, more reliable family sync

Family sharing, rebuilt • Changes from family members now arrive automatically, usually within moments, even when the app isn't open. • Syncing is faster: only what changed is sent, not the whole family list. • When two people edit at the same time, both changes are kept, and the newer edit of the same item wins. Nothing gets overwritten. • Deleted items stay deleted on every phone. • Shopping items added with Siri now always reach the rest of the family. Important: please make sure everyone in your family updates to this version. Phones on older versions won't see changes from updated phones until they update. Health • Sleep is counted once, even when your Apple Watch, iPhone and other apps all record the same night, and each night counts toward the day you wake up. Your sleep totals may look different from before. They're now more accurate. • Health data loads much faster. Reminders and calendar • "Due soon" and daily summary reminders no longer repeat every time you open the app. • Recurring tasks marked done late keep their usual schedule. • Calendar events are removed when their task is deleted, including deletions made on another family member's phone. Also • Profile photos are stored at a smaller size, which makes sharing faster. • Stability and performance improvements.
