SnowTalkie is an off-grid walkie-talkie for families and small groups on the mountain. It talks phone to phone — and watch to phone — over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi peer-to-peer. No cell tower. No Wi-Fi router. No account.

Pick any short word or number — family-ski, 1234, pizza. Anyone who types the same channel finds you automatically. No sign-up, no contacts, no setup.

Push-to-talk feels like a real walkie. Continuous mode keeps your mic open the whole run. Type messages anytime — even with gloves on. Voice messages are transcribed on your device, so you can read them in the sun or when it's too windy to hear.
See who's nearby.
A polar radar shows each person's direction and distance, so you always know where your group is. When there's no GPS, it falls back to signal strength to keep a rough fix.
One-tap SOS.
Hold the SOS button to broadcast an emergency alert with your last known location to everyone on the channel — with a tap to open it in Maps.

Honest about range.
Bluetooth reaches roughly 10–30 m, Wi-Fi peer-to-peer 50–150 m line-of-sight. With other phones in between relaying along, your group's coverage stretches further. The radar tells you who's still in range.
Private by design.
SnowTalkie never calls out to the internet. There are no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Voice, text, and location are shared directly between phones on your channel and are never collected by us or anyone else.
