Malchy is a mobile app for the sheep farming community. It’s the “LinkedIn for farmers”: a place where farms connect with one another, buy and sell breeding sheep, share experiences, and grow together.

Sheep farming isn’t a solo endeavor. Malchy was created so that farmers don’t have to face their flocks alone:

• follow interesting farms, read their news, and learn from those who are ahead of you;
• sell rams and ewes directly to buyers, without intermediaries;
• share experiences—shearing, feeding, lambing, veterinary care.
WHY NOW, EXACTLY
“Arashan” is a breed of sheep developed in Kyrgyzstan. Every year, more and more farmers are breeding them, and interest in selective breeding in the region is growing rapidly. Previously, herd records were kept in notebooks, and buyers were sought through personal connections. Malchy was created to bring this work into the digital space and unite scattered farmers into a single community.
