Phrabbit has a new look, and a way to keep your library in order. • A new design — every screen has been rebuilt around the colors from the app icon. A warm background that is easy on the eyes over long sessions, A and B markers you can actually pick out, and a proper pass over both light and dark mode. • Folders — group your material into folders, and put folders inside folders. Files themselves never move; a folder is just a label, so your play position, subtitles, recordings, and bookmarks all follow along. Search finds what is tucked inside a folder and shows you where it lives. • Favorites — mark what you open most and reach it straight from Home. • Sentence steps from your earphones — the previous/next buttons on Bluetooth earphones now move sentence by sentence. On a file with no transcript they jump 5 seconds instead. Made for practicing on a walk, with the screen in your pocket. • Faster bookmarks — a tap saves the range immediately, and you name it afterwards, or rename it from the list whenever you like. • Saved bookmarks and your recordings in one place — switch between them with a tap in the player. • Tidier video and YouTube controls — the controls are now split into two layers, so nothing gets clipped on a small screen or at large text sizes. • Recoverable Files (Settings) — see the files that are still on your device but no longer in your library, preview them, and either bring them back or export them. The app never deletes them on its own. • Fixed a problem when rotating iPad, and made sure controls hold up at large text sizes and on narrow screens. Plus a number of smaller fixes.

You can now practice with video files. • Import video files — bring in MP4, M4V, and MOV files already on your device and loop them exactly like audio. Videos are referenced rather than copied, so they use almost no app storage. • Attach subtitle files — show an SRT or VTT file over the video, and nudge the sync if it drifts. Long lines are split into readable screens automatically. • Transcribe just a range — for a video with no subtitles, mark an A/B range and convert only that part with speech recognition. No need to process the whole film. • Tidy up subtitles — fix or hide a line that came in wrong, and restore the originals whenever you want. • Fullscreen practice — turn sideways to see subtitles and the range controls together. • Video shadowing and bookmarks — speak along the way you already do with audio, and save key scenes as bookmarks to jump straight back to them. • Subtitles into your wordbook — tap a word you don't know and save it with its context. Also fixed: while you were watching a video, the Lock Screen and Control Center could still show the playback card for the audio file you played before.

You can now type subtitles yourself. • Type subtitles yourself — write your own lines when speech recognition struggles with the audio, or when you'd rather practice from your own script. If you've already marked an A/B range, it's filled in for you. Running speech recognition later never erases what you typed. • Cleaner empty transcript screen — with no subtitles yet, you can now choose straight between converting speech to subtitles and typing your own. • More accurate subtitle ranges (iOS 26) — fixed lines that ran into the next word, and first or last sounds that were slightly clipped. Applies to newly converted subtitles. • Speech engine notice — when your device or language falls back to a less accurate engine, the transcript screen now tells you why. • Display Zoom support — tightened narrow-screen layouts so player buttons and library durations no longer get cut off. • Settings — check your app version, and jump straight to the user guide. Keep playing with the screen off! • Background playback — your A/B loops keep running with the screen off or while you use other apps. • Sleep timer — auto-pause after 5, 15, 30, or 60 minutes. Perfect for listening before bed. • Bookmark queue — tap Play All to practice your saved ranges back-to-back, and skip to the next or previous one right from the Lock Screen. • Lock Screen & Control Center — playback info and controls stay available while you practice. • AI word explanations (Beta) — tap a word in your wordbook and Apple Intelligence explains it on-device, in context. Shadowing is here! • Shadowing — listen to an A/B range, then repeat it in your own voice. With audio and podcasts, play your take over the original and compare waveforms side by side. You can shadow on YouTube streams, too. • Subtitles built in — the passage's transcript appears right on the shadowing screen, highlighting each sentence as it plays. • Shadowing gap — a pause between loops gives you time to speak, with a countdown showing how long you have. Listen, repeat, listen again — no recording needed. • My Recordings — save your best takes and reopen them later to keep practicing the exact same range. • Fullscreen support — record and compare without ever leaving fullscreen video.
