Seven new tapes dropped (DAY FLASH, NEON DISTRICT, CROSS SCREEN, BEACH HAZE, TUNGSTEN, DARKROOM, KEEPSAKE), the Capture Quality setting, 1080p with frame-relative artifacts, rebuilt picker thumbnails, and the six category chips.

SHOOT WITHOUT LOOKING DOWN Keep your eyes on the room, not the screen. Volume buttons become the shutter, so you can shoot without breaking the moment. GET FLASHED LIKE IT’S 2004 Hard light. Blown skin. Black backgrounds. HOT SHOE brings back the unmistakable look of a real on-camera flash. FLASH SHOTS WORTH KEEPING Night photos with actual light, actual texture, and none of that fake “night mode” polish. TURN THE PHONE. KEEP THE LOOK. Shoot sideways. The effect follows your phone, and your photos still come out the right way up. WATCH YOUR VIDEO GET DESTROYED CODEC gives your clips the 2003 treatment: compressed, re-encoded, emailed-to-yourself quality, complete with the little playback window. The final file keeps it all. FIND THE NIGHT AGAIN Browse what you shot, play your clips, and delete the ones that missed, without leaving the app. FIXED Bugs. Happy Clicking!

Nothing in here looks perfect anymore, and that is the point. WORN, NOT FILTERED Every tape now carries real damage. Dropouts tear across the picture and drag colour with them. Tracking wanders. The bottom edge jitters where the head switches. Grain settles into the shadows instead of sitting on top of the image. Each tape wears differently, so no two look like the same effect with a different colour on it. CAMCORDER AND HANDYCAM ARE FINALLY TWO CAMERAS CAMCORDER is VHS now: soft, smeary, colour running sideways past the edges. HANDYCAM is Hi8: sharper, tighter, with the crunchy electronic sharpening those cameras put on every edge. They used to be the same tape twice. CRT TUBE, REBUILT Curved glass with colour fringing that grows toward the corners, phosphor bloom around anything bright, and a proper black surround instead of a grey box. It reads as a television in a dark room. FISHEYE FULL CIRCLE bends harder and glows warmer around highlights. VX1000 picks up tape dropouts streaking through the lens. Vertical clips now sit inside the circle instead of being cropped and stretched. FIXED Landscape video sits centred in the library editor instead of dropping to the bottom of the screen. A fine crosshatch that had been sitting over every tape is gone. Both free tapes were rebuilt to look like real hardware rather than like a preset.

Your tape shelf just got bigger. TEN NEW TAPES. Vacation summers, video store rentals, mall digicams, late night neon, corner store CCTV. Every one makes today look like the good old days. CAMCORDER IS NOW FREE. Warm 90s home video from your first press of record, no purchase needed. BURN THE DATE IN. The VHS timestamp now works in video, so every clip plays back like a tape from AUG.14 1993. FIND YOUR LOOK FASTER. The shelf is reorganized by vibe, every fisheye in one place, with a real preview of every tape. Plus a fresh dark look, glassier fisheye edges, a rebuilt golden hour SUNBLEED.

• Fixed bugs and improved overall stability for a smoother experience. • Fisheye now looks better with improved distortion and cleaner visuals. • Added new filters so you can experiment with more looks and styles.
