Torah and Chassidus Translate helps students, teachers, and researchers turn source pages and PDFs into readable study text.
Create projects for a sefer, maamar, manuscript, PDF, or scan set. Import or capture page images, browse supported corpus libraries, preview PDFs, choose your translation provider and model, and keep prior translation results for comparison. The app supports provider readiness checks, Word Lens contextual word help, source and footnote review, Reader Mode with text-to-speech, token and cost visibility, project backup, and full-project exports for study and sharing.
Online translation has two explicit lanes. Managed AI is an optional account and prepaid-credit service that does not require an API key. Bring Your Own Key supports configured providers such as Gemini, Claude, and OpenAI; those keys are stored in platform secure storage and are never sent to the Torah Translate backend. Local projects, reading, editing, import, export, backup, restore, Global Library, local OCR, local text-to-speech, and supported BYOK workflows remain available without a managed subscription.
Every Managed AI action shows what data leaves the device and its expected and maximum AI-credit charge before confirmation. There is no automatic top-up or postpaid overage. Managed accounts are for ages 13 and older, include device-session controls, and can be deleted in the app or on the public deletion page.

Torah and Chassidus Translate is what happens when someone looks at a shelf full of Hebrew and Chassidus seforim and says, “What if this were only mostly impossible?”You scan or import a page, crop it, translate it, review sources and footnotes, and export the result. It is especially useful for learning, preparing shiurim, working through maamarim, or trying to understand why one paragraph somehow contains the entire cosmos.It is still improving, so occasionally the app teaches patience along with Torah. But when it works, it feels genuinely helpful: source pages become readable, footnotes become navigable, and projects become something you can actually review and share.In short: ambitious, useful, slightly stubborn, and very much worth having if you learn Torah or Chassidus from printed texts.
Managed AI is now available as an optional no-API-key lane with a visible credit estimate before each paid action. This update adds managed-account and device-session controls, purchase restore and subscription management, durable retry and recovery safeguards, and expanded privacy controls. Local and Bring Your Own Key workflows remain independent and available without a managed subscription.
