CoastalPay: BC Take-Home

Paycheck & Net Pay Calculator

$2.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Your BC salary after federal tax, provincial tax, CPP, CPP2 and EI, every deduction listed. Then the rent that fits it and the home price it honestly supports. CoastalPay turns a British Columbia salary into the number that lands in your account, then shows you what that number can actually carry in BC housing. Enter your gross as an annual salary, a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly amount, or an hourly rate with your hours per week. CoastalPay works out your net after federal and British Columbia income tax, CPP and EI, and lists every deduction behind it. WHAT YOU CAN DO - See federal income tax with the basic personal amount and the Canada employment amount applied. - See provincial tax across all seven British Columbia brackets, with the BC tax reduction credit applied automatically when your income qualifies for it. - See CPP, the second CPP contribution on earnings above the first ceiling, and Employment Insurance up to the maximum insurable earnings. - Add an annual RRSP contribution and watch it move the taxable income everything else is figured on. - See your net for the year and for each pay period (weekly when you enter an hourly rate). - Open the affordability planner and see the rent that fits the 30 percent guideline, with a conservative tier at 25 percent and a stretch tier at 35 percent either side of it. - Size a home price your take-home supports, qualified at the federal stress test rate rather than your contract rate, after property tax, condo fees and heat come out of your housing budget, with BC property transfer tax and mortgage default insurance shown on their own lines. - Compare renting against owning as a share of your monthly net, with what is left over in each case. - Enter two incomes in the household view and run the same planner on the combined total. - Save any result, pin the ones you keep returning to, and share a clean breakdown as text. - Check the federal brackets, the BC tax rates, CPP, EI and the housing rules the maths runs on, listed on the About screen. - Switch the app between English and French. The parameter tables on the About screen stay in English. WHO IT IS FOR Anyone weighing a British Columbia job offer or a raise, anyone moving to the province and trying to price it honestly, and anyone working out whether a rent or a mortgage is genuinely within reach on what they take home. PRIVACY CoastalPay makes no network requests. There is no account, no sign up and no cloud. Everything you type stays on your phone. CoastalPay gives planning estimates for a single BC-resident employee with employment income. It is not tax advice and it is not a mortgage pre-approval, and it does not replace your pay stub or a lender's own underwriting.
