Roadar
Flock camera & police alerts
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Every Flock, speed & red-light camera, built in - 300,000+ mapped. Plus live police and hazard alerts from drivers ahead. Free, no ads.
Every Flock camera, on your map. Roadar ships with 300,000+ mapped license-plate readers (Flock and others), fixed speed cameras, and red-light cameras built in - and warns you before you reach one.
The rest comes from the drivers ahead of you: police, crashes, and road hazards, reported as they pass them, shown to you in time to slow down.
FLOCK, SPEED & RED-LIGHT CAMERAS, BUILT IN
Powered by the world's largest community camera map (the DeFlock project on OpenStreetMap), so Roadar is useful in your city from your very first drive. Drivers confirm or clear each camera as things change, and you get a quiet heads-up as you approach - on your Lock Screen, even with the app closed.
LIVE ALERTS FROM DRIVERS AHEAD
Someone ahead taps once to report what they see. Drivers near it confirm it's still there. As you approach, Roadar warns you - on your Lock Screen, on CarPlay, or with a single notification that can break through Driving Focus.
MADE FOR DRIVING, NOT FOR SCREENS
- A police alert takes over the screen with a live countdown, then gets out of the way
- Works with your phone locked or the app closed
- One tap to report, and five seconds to undo it
- Report from CarPlay, the Action Button, a widget, a Home Screen shortcut, or just ask Siri
- Tells you when you're offline, and goes easy on your battery in Low Power Mode
YOU CAN TRUST WHAT YOU SEE
Reports come from drivers who were actually there, and nearby drivers confirm or clear them. Honest reporters build a reputation. Fake reports disappear fast - and pause the reporting of whoever filed them.
PRIVATE, ACTUALLY
- Other drivers never see who you are - no usernames, no profiles, no followers
- Your location is used to warn you. Never stored, never sold.
- No ads. No tracking. Nothing to scroll.
FREE
Everything, for every driver. No subscription, no in-app purchases. On iPhone and iPad, in English, Spanish, and Russian.
Drive like you know what's ahead.
Roadar is for lawful use: alerts exist so you slow down, and camera awareness is not evasion. Don't touch the app while driving. Reports are made by other drivers and can be wrong - the road in front of you is always the authority. Camera data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

Ratings & Reviews
Introducing Avoid: plan a route around the Flock and speed cameras you pick. We also sharpened alerts and fixed a handful of bugs. Yours Michael and Bryson.
