• Light mode: turn off Dark mode in Settings → Display & haptics. • Share to ArirangX from other apps — send photos, videos, links and text to a chat, to yourself or to Madang. • Send up to 10 photos at once as one message. • Listen to original: hear a message in the sender's language, read aloud by your device. • Links in chats now show a preview. • Madang: send a post to your chats, and reply to comments. • Friends who stopped by: see who visited your profile or reacted to your posts, at the top of Chat. • Announcements: news from ArirangX at the top right of MyPage. • ArirangX on your computer, too: arirangx.com, with the same account.

• Arirang is now ArirangX — a new name, a new icon and a fresh dark design. • Coins are now called Stars, with new 3D animations for gifts and Stars. • Four tabs at the bottom: People, Chat, Madang and MyPage. • People: see friends on the Map, and who just joined in New. • MyPage: make your digital business card and share it by QR code when you choose. Cards you receive can be saved to Contacts. • Message yourself: a private chat at the top of People. • K-Beauty and Speak are now at the top of Chat, and Face to face is now called Interpreter. • Speaking practice: hear the native pronunciation, and play back your own recording. • Madang loads faster. • Pick a message sound in Settings → Notifications.

• People: find someone by their profile ID (@ID) or by pasting their profile link. • Madang: the heart (like) on posts now works on profiles, in search results and on topic pages, too. • Fixed chat messages that sometimes stayed untranslated and titles that could shrink too small.

• New: in Live Translate, record a caption video of up to 30 seconds — what you say and its translation appear right on the video — then share it to your favorite apps. • The new Live Translate · K-Beauty tab: speak and see your words translated live over your camera, or choose Face to face to talk with someone in front of you. • Speaking practice: read short sentences aloud and see how closely Arirang understood you. • If your call alert can't reach the other person's phone, you'll see a note so you can send a message first. • Captions now appear faster when you pause.

• A fresh new app icon. • To keep conversations safe, you now need a profile photo to start a chat, send messages and make video calls. You can still browse People, Madang and profiles without one. • Choosing a profile photo no longer asks for access to your photo library. • Replies in chats are easier to read. • If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also disconnects Arirang from your Apple Account.

• NEW: Voice input in 1:1 chats — tap the mic, speak in your language, and Arirang sends what you said with a translation. • NEW: Save photos and videos from chats straight to your Photos. • A cleaner chat: the time sits beside each bubble, and photos and videos show without frames. • See upload progress on photos and videos, cancel anytime, and send files up to 300 MB. • Chat rooms open faster from your chat list. • Madang full screen, redesigned: media in the center, likes and replies at the bottom, and simple video controls. • Madang videos can be up to 5 minutes, and you can mark a post as made with AI. • Ending a call from the lock screen now ends it in Arirang too. • For your security, an account stays signed in on one device at a time — signing in on a new device signs out the old one. • Live captions reconnect on their own after a brief network drop. • Smoother animations throughout the app.

• Jangter is now called Madang: share posts, photos and short videos, and reply to each other. The separate short-video feed has been retired. • Incoming video calls now ring even while Arirang is running in the background. • Captions: fixed the other person's captions not appearing in some languages. Captions now keep the exact language you chose, such as Traditional Chinese or European Portuguese. • If your speech-recognition language isn't supported yet, Arirang asks you to choose one before captions start. • A 1:1 chat that the other person has left now shows correctly, and you can leave it. • Sheets and prompts no longer cover an ongoing call. • Tag and link fields respond to a tap anywhere in the field. • Me: new members see language and call settings first, and a green dot marks features you haven't tried yet. • Smoother Madang videos while scrolling; names and photos appear right away. • White text cursor on every device.

• Public profile links — claim a handle and share your page at arirang.day/yourname. • "Feed" is now "Madang". • Swipe a chat in the list to mark it read or leave the room. • VIP check badges now appear in the chat list. • Faster room settings and profile screens. • Stability and performance improvements.
