Little Words: Every Voice

Speech Help That Truly Listens

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

When words are hard, Buddy keeps listening. Every sound, word, picture, and AAC choice can move the play forward. Try 3 conversations free. Little Words gives your child a patient place to be heard. When words are hard, Buddy does not rush, grade, or give up. Buddy waits, follows your child's interests, and responds to speech, word approximations, picture choices, gestures, and essential AAC words. Every understood choice changes the play, so communication feels powerful instead of feeling like a test. Designed for children ages 2 to 8, with support for older children. Children ages 9 and 10 can also benefit from age-respectful activities. Little Words turns everyday talking into playful, low-pressure practice. No reading is required. WHO CAN BENEFIT • Children who are learning to talk or want extra speaking practice • Late talkers and children with parent- or clinician-identified speech or language delays • Nonspeaking or minimally speaking children who use pictures or AAC • Children practicing first words, clearer or more audible speech, pronunciation, speech sounds, or articulation • Children working on expressive or receptive language, vocabulary, fluency, storytelling, turn-taking, or social communication • Autistic and other neurodivergent children who benefit from predictable, sensory-aware, interest-led practice • Families following a speech-language pathologist's plan for apraxia or other motor-speech needs, oral-motor or myofunctional goals, resonance, or other communication goals Little Words can be used for extra practice at home or alongside a speech-language pathologist's plan. It does not evaluate, diagnose, or treat any condition. For clinical goals, ask your child's speech-language pathologist which activities, words, and routines are appropriate. HOW IT WORKS 1. A parent creates the child profile and chooses interests, communication stage, target sounds, sensory preferences, family vocabulary, and session pace. 2. Your child talks and plays with Buddy through voice-first conversations, picture choices, essential AAC words, sound play, language activities, and games. 3. Buddy listens for the idea, not only perfect pronunciation. If it is unsure, it stays warm, waits, and offers one small visual choice. 4. Stop, help, again, different, all done, and other essential words remain available throughout the session. 5. Parents see what their child communicated, what helped, and one practical idea to try next, without grades or pressure. 6. Export a caregiver-owned home-practice summary to discuss with your child's care team if useful. FOR CHILDREN • Patient, voice-first Buddy conversations • Speech, word approximations, picture choices, and essential AAC words that work together • Gentle support when Buddy does not understand the first time • Speech-sound, first-word, vocabulary, and language games • Activities from early sounds through full sentences • Conversation, storytelling, directions, and social scenarios • Adventure worlds shaped by the child's interests and choices • Calm, gentle, and higher-energy sensory presets FOR PARENTS • Three Buddy conversation previews before subscribing • Parent-controlled goals, pacing, wait time, session length, and notifications • Descriptive breakthroughs showing what the child communicated and what helped • Practice history, streaks, session summaries, and home-practice missions • A communication passport and care-plan tools to share with trusted supporters • No third-party ads and no child-directed advertising • Data export, profile deletion, and account deletion controls IMPORTANT LIMITS Buddy is an AI character, not a person, therapist, or medical provider. Buddy can misunderstand speech because of a child's speech pattern, microphone conditions, or background noise. Session summaries describe practice; they are not clinical accuracy scores, assessments, or diagnoses. An adult should supervise, follow the child's cues, and stop if the child is tired or distressed. Terms of Use: https://littlewords.ai/terms Privacy Policy: https://littlewords.ai/privacy

Little Words 3.1.2 helps Buddy understand your child sooner, with less setup. • A shorter, adaptive parent introduction asks only what Buddy needs to begin • Buddy explains how each answer will shape the first conversations • Communication preferences, interests, pacing, and support needs now flow directly into Buddy's guidance • Parents can review and update what Buddy has learned at any time • Session summaries suggest one small follow-up question when it can make future play more personal • Speech, approximations, gestures, pictures, and AAC remain equally valid ways to participate This release also improves onboarding reliability, profile recovery, accessibility, and performance. Little Words is a practice companion, not a diagnostic or treatment tool.
