This app was built around a simple everyday question: what’s the weather like outside, and do I need an umbrella?
Weather Nearby focuses on the information that matters most: current conditions, today’s and tomorrow’s forecast, upcoming precipitation, a weekly outlook, and useful iPhone widgets.

Weather data sources:
• ECMWF IFS, ICON, and GFS weather models via Open-Meteo
• METAR aviation weather reports from nearby airports

• Apple Weather as a backup source
These sources are compared and combined to improve current conditions and short-term forecasts.
The widgets are designed to reduce the need to open the app. You can quickly see the current temperature, forecasts for today and tomorrow, upcoming rain, and overall weather conditions directly from your Home Screen.
Rain notifications help you prepare for changing weather conditions before you leave home, plan a walk, a trip, or simply remember to take an umbrella.
