Why not AirPlay or Bluetooth? • AirPlay can't target an iPhone or iPad as a speaker. • Bluetooth doesn't reach across the house and locks your device to one pairing. • Audio Mirror is Wi-Fi: longer range, lower latency, and your device stays free for everything else. Audio flows directly between your devices, encrypted with DTLS. Nothing leaves your network. The Mac companion is a free Universal Purchase — one price, both apps. Requires Screen Recording permission on the Mac (the only way macOS lets third-party apps read system audio, via ScreenCaptureKit). Audio Mirror only reads the audio samples — no screen image is ever captured, transmitted, or displayed.
