Vigil: Situation Room
Live world data on a 3D globe
$4.99
Apple Vision
Watch the world's live pulse on a 3D globe in your space — weather, quakes, flights, news, and more. On-device AI briefings: ask anything, no key, fully private.
Vigil turns your space into a live situation room. A photoreal 3D Earth floats in front of you, and the world's real-time data settles onto it as glowing pins, arcs, and pulse rings — weather systems, earthquakes the moment they strike, aircraft in flight, breaking news pinned to where it's happening, air quality, and more.
Reach out and spin the globe. Open the feed to read what's unfolding, newest first. Drop locations onto your watchlist and let Vigil cycle through them in an ambient, auto-rotating view.
LIVE DATA LAYERS
• Weather — via Apple WeatherKit
• Earthquakes — USGS, as they happen
• Flights — live positions and routes
• News — headlines pinned to their location
• Air quality, weather radar, traffic, calendar, and more
ON-DEVICE AI
Ask Vigil what's on your globe and get a concise, plain-language briefing — then let it fly you to a place or toggle layers, just by asking. Powered entirely by Apple's on-device intelligence: no account, no API key, nothing leaves your device, and it works offline.
SPATIAL BY DESIGN
RealityKit globe, NASA Blue Marble imagery, a day/night terminator that tracks the real sun, and an infinite-canvas ambient mode. Vigil also runs on your Mac.

What's new in 1.1:
• Proximity sort — order your feed by what's happening nearest you. Your location stays on your device and is never transmitted.
• Flights density heatmap — at globe zoom, air traffic glows across the Earth from cool to hot, so the world's busiest skies stand out at a glance.
• Smoother globe reset and a more resilient live-flights layer.
