The drag alarm itself was always accurate — it measures distance, not direction. • Route depth checks now use the shallowest charted depth on each leg, so shallow water that was previously missed is flagged. ROUTE PLANNING • Depth warnings now separate legs that are definitely too shallow from legs that only might be. • One warning per leg instead of one for every charted depth area it crosses. • Warnings clear as soon as you move a waypoint — including while you are navigating. • If you have not set your draft, SeaMate says so and shows charted depths without guessing whether they are safe for your boat. • Setting a waypoint as your route start no longer leaves a duplicate pin behind. ON THE WATER • Cross-track error reads in your chosen distance unit instead of thousands of feet. • The anchor drift indicator moves smoothly and reacts to smaller swings. • The chart no longer tilts into a 3D view by accident, and holds still while you drag a waypoint. ALSO • Tides now work offline. Download a chart pack and tide predictions come with it. • Distress calls use your saved vessel profile. Worth opening Settings → Vessel Profile to check yours is current. • The chart's draft picker shows the draft currently in effect. • Corrected artwork for shark species in the fishing guide.

A few things you've asked for are now aboard. LOGBOOK PHOTOS — Every logbook entry can now carry a photo — the sunset at anchor, the slip number at a new marina, the one that didn't get away. Attach one from your camera or your library right when you log the entry; it's saved with that entry and stays with it. MARINA INFO, EVEN OFFLINE — 4,043 U.S. marinas are now built directly into SeaMate — the full coast plus Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the USVI. Tap a marina on the chart for VHF channel, fuel, transient slips, and depth at the dock, with no signal required. Spot something out of date? "Suggest a correction" sends it straight to us. TIDAL CURRENT OVERLAY — A new chart layer shows which way the water is moving and how hard: flood and ebb arrows drawn from real NOAA current-station data, with a marker at slack tide. This layer needs a connection to pull current predictions. VOYAGE RECAP CARDS — Log a voyage, then tap Share to get a clean recap card — your route, distance, time underway, and a photo if you added one. Ready to send to your crew or post wherever you want to remember the trip by. A couple more things: our Terms of Service have been updated, so you'll be asked to review and accept them once.
