Your notes are standard .md files in local folders you choose. Open them with any editor, manage them with iCloud or Git, and keep them free from proprietary formats. Chat and image-generation models can be configured separately. LOCAL MEMORY LIBRARY When enabled, marknow indexes selected Markdown notes on your Mac and retrieves relevant passages as context. Indexing and retrieval stay local and do not require extra API calls. A PARTNER YOU CAN SHAPE Set the assistant’s name, how it addresses you, collaboration style, and long-term visual identity. Persistent changes are saved only after you confirm them. PRIVACY AND CONTROL API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain. Content needed for an AI request is sent only when you start that request, and only to the provider you selected. Start with one Markdown file. Keep your writing, knowledge, and workflow in your own hands.
