View radar for your selected location, with a clean map surface and simple playback controls. Weather Direct is designed to show the newest available radar frame quickly, then prepare smooth radar playback in the background when available.
LOCAL WEATHER ALERTS
See active weather alerts grouped by urgency, including warnings, watches, advisories, and other alerts. Alert details include the headline, affected area, description, instruction, and severity without raw technical clutter.
TROPICAL STORM AWARENESS
Track active tropical systems with storm details, basin filtering, intensity, pressure, movement, category or status, and advisory links when available. Weather Direct is useful whether you are checking today’s local forecast or keeping an eye on hurricane season.
PRIVACY-RESPECTING BY DESIGN
Weather Direct does not require an account. It does not include ads, analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, third-party weather providers, or a Weather Direct backend.
Your location is used to request weather for your area. Normal weather functionality calls public weather services directly from your device.

Weather Direct is designed to be clean, fast, and low-resource. It loads cached weather quickly when available, refreshes weather in a fail-safe way, and avoids replacing usable weather with noisy error screens during temporary network or provider issues.

Weather Direct 1.1 adds Apple Watch support, including quick current conditions, rain chance, wind, hourly forecast, and alert status on your wrist. This update also improves warning/watch notification behavior, makes alert sections easier to scan, adds radar opacity control, and shows hourly rain and wind details in the forecast.
