Finger Strings ties a virtual string around your finger — so you actually remember - using alarms that demand acknowledgement and stand out from notification "noise."
Most reminders fail at the worst moment. You set one, it fires, you swipe it away, and an hour later you're still late, still unprepared, still kicking yourself.
Finger Strings works differently. Instead of one notification you'll ignore, it fires a series of escalating alarms in the lead-up to your event — giving you time to actually act.
How it works
Create a reminder with a deadline. Finger Strings works backwards from that moment and schedules a sequence of alarms — days, hours, and/or minutes before — each one requiring an explicit acknowledgment. By the time the deadline arrives, you've had every chance to be ready.
These aren't quiet lock-screen notifications. They're true alarms. They demand attention.

- Added selectable alarm sounds so each string can alert with the tone that fits it best.
- Added configurable global alarm layer defaults for monthly, daily, hourly, and final-stretch reminders.
Fixes
- Tapping an alarm now opens the related String Details screen instead of jumping straight into edit mode.
- Alarm links now work more reliably when Finger Strings is already open.
- If you’re already viewing the relevant String Details screen, tapping the alarm simply dismisses the alarm without changing your place.
- Quiet Hours now adjust more intelligently when changing the start time.
