If you finished setup without picking a plan, the home screen now tells you what you can do without one: finish the sample book for free, order a single book, or open a book and ask for changes. One card at a time, and each one goes away once you've done it.

If you're new, you may see one more step at the end of setup: ordering the book you just made. The 25% first-book discount shows on that screen, not only at checkout.

Your first book is 25% off until 31 October, on every size except the 5×5 mini. You'll see the lower price at checkout. Three new ways for the AI to lay out your book: a love story, a trip journal and an "our history" timeline, each made to look put together by hand. Pick one under "Lay it out as", or just type "lay it out like a love story" and the AI rebuilds the pages. The blur check now looks at the whole photo, so soft shots stop slipping in. Books open faster. Photos show up as they arrive instead of all at once, and a cover never gets stuck without its picture. Single books are priced by their length now, and there's a new plan that sends one book a season. You sign in with Apple or Google before you pay, so the plan you bought stays with your account on a new phone.

Covers that reach the edge. The waterfront covers (San Francisco, Venice, Paris and friends) now run right off the page instead of stopping short, and the sky shows through the bridge cables the way it should. New autumn and spring trees on the seasonal covers. While you set up, Remembr builds a short sample book from your own photos and keeps showing you the ones it's picking. Finish early and the book still lands in your library once it's done. Fewer near-duplicate photos, and a cap on how often the same person fills a page. Bug fixes and faster photo loading.

Your book can now be in your language — ten of them. Pick it during setup or from Profile, and the AI editor writes in it too. You choose which album the first book comes from instead of us guessing. Photos from iCloud Shared Albums make it into books now. They were being skipped, which is what left some books printing empty frames. Two photos you can't tell apart no longer print side by side. Invite a friend. When their first book ships, your next one is half price. The screen you wait on while a book is built now fills with colour as it goes. Also: reworked themes and a tidier theme picker, page previews that aren't squashed any more, the price you'll actually be charged at checkout, and every icon button named properly for VoiceOver.
