Tired of ads ruining the rhythm of a hand. Tired of bots that lead with their lowest card and pass the wrong aces. Tired of "honest" shuffles that somehow always deal the bidder a void. Tired of card-game apps that treat the family game I grew up with as a vehicle for popups, gem packs, and "rate us" interstitials. So I built Just Pinochle. It's partnership pinochle the way you actually play it — four-handed, with a partner across the table, trying to take the bid, run meld, and pull the rest. No fake tournaments. No timers between hands. No videos. No banners. No spam. Not now, not ever. WHAT YOU GET • Standard, Family, and Double Deck rule sets — pick what your family plays. • Four-handed partnership play with friends or bots. • Bots that actually play pinochle — they signal in the bidding, lead trump when they have it, pass useful cards to the bidder, and don't dump fourth-seat counters when their partner is winning. • Honest Fisher-Yates shuffle — bots see the same cards you see. No peeking, no rigging. • An invite link you can text to family — they tap it and they're at the table. • Grandpa Mode — one tap blows the cards up to readable size and bumps every label. Tunable below that if you just need a notch larger. • A "Blocks" card style built specifically for color-blind players — four-colour tiles, no guessing hearts from diamonds. • A "Sure?" pre-select that pauses your auto-play when the trick shifts — so you don't dump an Ace into a sweep you didn't see coming. • Hand history with full bidding log, meld breakdown, and trick-by-trick replay. • Real-time chat at the table, with quick phrases for when you can't type. • Push notifications for invites and your turn (optional, off by default). • Step Away mode — let a bot cover for a quick break so you don't strand your partner. • Per-game-type stats and global rankings (ranked vs casual). • Customize everything: card sizes, animation speed, played-card spread, hand layout, bid increments, even the dealer rotation.
