Podcast ads, cut out before you press play.
You know the moment. The host takes a breath, the music changes, and here comes ninety seconds about a mattress company or that one website creator.
Feedcast takes those out. And you keep listening exactly where you listen now: Apple Podcasts, Overcast, Pocket Casts, Castro, or any other player. This is not another player asking you to start your library over somewhere new.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Add your shows. Search Apple's podcast catalog, paste any RSS URL, or drag in your own files.
2. Feedcast downloads each new episode on your Mac, transcribes it, finds the sponsor reads, and cuts them out of your copy.
3. Subscribe to your Feedcast feed in the app you already use. Your Mac serves the clean episodes straight to it, no account needed. That is the last time you have to think about it.
From then on, new episodes arrive clean, automatically, as soon as they come out.
THE ADS GO
Host reads. Mid-rolls. Feedcast finds all types in what is actually said in the episode, not in a list somebody else maintains, so it works on small shows too.
• Review every cut, keep, or undo
• The untouched original is kept, nothing is ever lost
CHAPTERS APPEAR
Skip to the interview. Skip past the intro banter. You know what is good, so skip to it. Chapters a show already ships are kept exactly as they are, even with chapter artwork.
EVERY SHOW SOUNDS BETTER
Long pauses are tightened inside the episode itself, so it plays shorter in any player without clipping a word. Quiet guests and loud hosts are evened out, harsh s sounds are softened, and every show plays at the same volume. Where an ad was cut, a soft crossfade or a short sound of your choice marks the spot.
EVERY WORD IS SEARCHABLE
Each episode is transcribed on your Mac, and the transcript scrolls along with playback. Remember a quote but not where it was? Search the episode and jump to the second it was said.
IT RUNS WITHOUT YOU
Feedcast sits in the menu bar and checks your shows on a schedule. An episode drops, and it gets downloaded, cleaned, and filed away while you do something else. It can hold off until you are on power, tell you when episodes land, and delete old ones so your disk never fills up.
Most days you never open it. You just notice your podcasts got better. When you do open it, Metrics shows what you got back: the ad time removed, the time saved by shorter pauses and faster playback, and the shows you play most.
A REAL MAC APP
Native SwiftUI, light and dark without being asked. Waveform seeking, chapter skip, 0.5x to 2x speed, and it remembers where you stopped. Three editors come with it: Autochapter for transcripts, Chaptercast for MP3 chapters and artwork, SponsorScrub for the cuts, plus an editor for every RSS tag in your feed. No ads inside the app either, which would be a strange thing for this app to have.
FREE, AND PREMIUM
Free is a real app, not a demo. Three feeds, each holding as many shows and episodes as you like, an online feed address for every player, on-device transcripts, per-episode search, playback, chapter editing, and every library tool in Feedcast. Your first five episodes also get sponsor removal, generated chapters, tighter pauses and even volume at no cost, no trial needed.
Premium is the part that runs by itself: sponsor removal and generated chapters on every new episode, tighter pauses and even volume, unlimited feeds and OPML import.
And the first week is free. Start the trial tonight, let Feedcast work through the shows you actually listen to, and decide in the morning.
Feedcast is made by one student developer, with no investors and no ad deals.

Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- A new player shows the artwork of the chapter that is playing and sits at the top of the episode detail, where it stays put when you switch between Details and Transcript
- The waveform is now the scrubber: hover to see the time and chapter, drag to jump, and feel a tap on the trackpad at every chapter boundary
- Click the chapter title to see every chapter and jump to one
- Playback speed now goes from 0.5x to 3x in steps of 0.1x
- Click the time on the right to switch between time left and total length
- The Chaptercast, Autochapter and SponsorScrub windows use the same player, show the episode title and artwork, and each takes the color of its button
- The episode buttons now read Edit Chapters, Transcript & AI Chapters and Review Ads, and shrink to icons when space is tight
- Show notes now appear with their full formatting: headings, lists, bold, italic, quotes and links, and the episode editor lets you edit them in place
- Feedcast now keeps every original episode for good while storing only what was cut out, so the original retention setting is gone
- Processing runs at full speed, reprocessing an episode takes about a second, and each step shows as Preparing, Enhancing audio or Cutting ads
- Artwork that is not square now sits on a blurred copy of itself instead of black bars, in the player, in chapter images, in covers Feedcast saves, in episode pictures your podcast app shows and in custom show art
- Feedcast now recognizes the same sponsor read across all your shows, and a read you switch off in one show stays off everywhere
- The first chapter of a cleaned episode now says "(Generated by Feedcast)" when Feedcast wrote the chapters
- The custom chapter prompt setting is gone, every episode now uses Feedcast's own prompt
- The transcript scrolls more smoothly
- Deleting an episode or a feed now stops its processing right away
- Trailers marked as a single sponsor chapter no longer fail to process
- Transcripts that finish after the feed was last written now reach your podcast app
