The hard part was never the to-do list. It was remembering which app it lives in. Your day, your inbox and your health, in one place. First month free.
Your tasks and your calendar on ONE timeline.
In Apical, your to-dos, your appointments and the events from your Gmail or Outlook calendar sit in the same day view. Things at the same time are shown side by side, and an event that overlaps another is flagged — so you see a double-booking while there is still time to move one.
You are not disorganised. You are holding six apps in your head.
One app for the to-do list. A calendar that has never heard of it. Notes somewhere else, mail in a fourth place, then groceries, workouts, the weather, the news. Eight logins, eight sets of notifications, a bill for each — and the thing you needed was still in the app you did not open.
Apical is the one place all of it lives.
Open it and today is already there: what you have to do, where you have to be, what came in overnight, what the sky is doing. No account needed to start.
WHY IT FEELS DIFFERENT
Tick a task off from a Home Screen widget without opening the app.
Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and IMAP arrive in the same place you plan your day, so mail stops being a separate errand.
Give a task a place and it can remind you when you arrive, not just at a set time.
FREE, AND NOT A TRAP
The planner, notes, mail, weather and your home screen are free, with no account required — 15 tasks a day, 3 notes and 1 mailbox, with two-way calendar sync for Gmail and Outlook. Enough to run a week on before you decide anything.
LIVE WELL — the life around the work
Unlimited tasks, appointments and notes. Write by hand anywhere on a note's page, with a finger or Apple Pencil, plus folders and files that sit inside the note. Steps, workouts, sleep, water and heart data in one view, synced with Apple Health and tracked live on your wrist. Grocery reminders that fire when you are NEAR THE SHOP, not at 9am when you are nowhere near one. A news feed that refuses ad and tracker scripts before the page loads. No ad banners, ever. Your day synced across iPhone, iPad and the web.
POWER — the inbox, and the thinking
Up to ten mail accounts in one inbox. AI that sums up one email or the whole inbox, every point linked to the message it came from, and reads it aloud if you like. Describe your week in plain words and get tasks and events you can accept in one tap. Photograph a recipe, pick the ingredients you need, and they land on your grocery list. Share a list, a note or a calendar with the people it actually involves — they can join with a free account.
ONE PLAN INSTEAD OF FIVE
Paid for separately, a to-do app, a calendar app, a notes app, a grocery app and a health tracker are five subscriptions for five slices of one life. Live Well covers all five. The rest can go.
Start free. Give it a week. The first month of either plan is on us.

New in Apical 1.0.13
• Shared with you, where you'd look for it: notes, tasks, events, workouts, meals and grocery lists people share with you now appear alongside your own in Notes, Planner, Wellness, Grocery and Home, marked with who shared them. Things you share show who has them.
• Collaborators can do exactly what you allow: editors can tick off tasks, subtasks and checklists, complete repeating tasks and edit the events of a calendar you let them edit; viewers can look but not change anything.
• Share an item: sort the list and select several items to share in one go.
• Collaboration notifications name the person who invited you, accepted your invite or updated a shared item.
• Links you share open in Apical: a news story you send opens in the reader on the other person's phone, and your Apical ID link and QR code open Apical straight to a contact request.
• Live heart rate from Apple Watch during workouts, on the watch, your iPhone and the Live Activity. Starting a cardio workout starts its timer, and starting the timer starts the workout.
• Contact Support: attach photos and PDFs to a request or a reply. Topics are listed alphabetically.
• CSV and TSV files open as a table in Email and Notes.
• Switch Account: each account's own profile photo comes back when you switch to it.
• Highlight text in notes, like a highlighter: select words and tap Highlight in the format bar or the edit menu.
• Note outlines keep every level when you change their style (1. a. i. or • ◦ ▪), every level is indented the same step, and a new list item starts with a capital letter.
• Notes keep their formatting through saving, cut and paste, and spelling corrections; underline works on misspelled words; and pressing Return in a long note no longer jumps the page to the top.
• Weather keeps the city you picked after an update, and can use Always location access so your current-location forecast, widget and severe-weather alerts follow you as you travel.
• Quick add suggests everyone you’re connected with, not only people you’ve already shared something with.
• Note folders have 60 icons to choose from, and notes now show a page icon instead of one that looked like a calendar.
• Questions like “Delete?” open from the button you tapped instead of the top of the screen.
• Exercise notes: each exercise keeps its own note, typed right on the workout and shown every time you do that exercise.
• The Planner tab’s count includes today’s workouts, meals and grocery lists still to do.
• Turning on Weather takes one screen: use your location, use it in the background too, or choose a city.
• Fixes: meeting links in appointments open in Zoom, Teams, Meet or your browser, even from the location or notes; a workout tracked with Apple Watch is no longer cut short on the watch, keeps its full calories and heart rate, and reaches Apple Health at the time you did it; Home’s inbox card always includes your newest mail; Share as Text puts the note, task or appointment in the email’s message, with its title as the subject; deleting a repeating workout asks whether to delete this one, this and future ones, or all; a workout is never removed from Apple Health when calories can't be saved there; a Gmail message that did go out is no longer marked “Not sent” after the app closed mid-send; the Spell Check switch in Settings works again.
