Vygard Forestry is the lone-worker safety platform built for chainsaw operators, tree surgeons and forestry contractors working alone in the woods.
CHAINSAW KICKBACK AUTO-DETECT (Apple Watch)
Turn on Chainsaw Mode and your Apple Watch listens for the chainsaw vibration signature, then watches for the violent jerk a kickback produces. If you don't dismiss the 3-second haptic alert, Vygard fires the full SOS escalation cascade — push, SMS, WhatsApp, voice — to your duty manager, ARC partner, and the nearest available responder ranked by distance and role.
Works two ways:
• PAIRED MODE — Apple Watch + Vygard Forestry iPhone app. Watch sends events via the phone, phone routes to dispatch. Watch face shows who's signed in, shift state, and inbound alerts.
• STANDALONE MODE — cellular Apple Watch posts directly to the Vygard API when your phone is out of range. Solo crews working a remote felling site can leave the phone in the truck.
