Tinnitus Habituation Tool

Free · In‑App Purchases

Tinnitus Sync combines customizable audio with physical haptics to help you with tinnitus habituation. Tinnitus Sync is a dedicated self-management tool designed to help you habituate to the sound of your tinnitus using bimodal stimulation. By combining customized audio bursts with perfectly synchronized physical vibrations, Tinnitus Sync aims to help you learn to ignore your tinnitus. HOW IT WORKS 1. Match Your Tinnitus: Use our audio tools to recreate the exact frequency, bandwidth (hiss to tone), volume, and lateralization (left, right, or center) of the sound in your head. If you have multiple tones (polyphonic tinnitus), you can save multiple unique matches. 2. Prepare Your Devices: Put on your headphones and hold your iPhone. If you have an Apple Watch, wear it for an additional point of physical stimulation. 3. Start Training: Begin a session. The app will play brief bursts of your customized tinnitus sound, perfectly synced with physical haptic taps on your devices. The human brain is incredibly good at recognizing patterns. To promote habituation, Tinnitus Sync uses a randomized pacing algorithm. By slightly shifting the timing of every single pulse, your brain cannot predict the rhythm, encouraging active processing of the synchronized audio and physical sensations. FEATURES • Tinnitus matching for pure tones or white noise hiss • Independent pan and volume controls for each match • Millisecond latency calibration for AirPods and wireless headphones • Native Apple Watch app for wrist-based bimodal haptics • Support for polyphonic (multiple) tinnitus tones FREE VS PRO SUPPORTER Tinnitus Sync is completely free to use, allowing you to create and train with up to 3 custom sound matches. Upgrade to a Pro Supporter subscription to unlock unlimited matches and help support independent development.
